This is not a thread about how hackers are annoying and something should be done about them. This is a thread about the number of threads being created about said topic. As far as I know, this is the only one.

I understand that, Omerta. The thing is, people don't stop whinging about it. There ARE hackers. They ARE annoying. The devs ALREADY know. So stop posting about them, it's just a repetitive discussion, and that's against the forum rules.

There are enough threads on the forums for the devs to understand that there are hackers and something does need to be done. There's no point in begging. If DayZ will become stand-alone soon, Rocket WILL fix the hacks.

Once you get amazing holyshitorgasm stuff, a hacker comes along and kills you and raids your camp. You get pissed off, but after that, you find that going back to the nooby ways with looting houses for makarovs is actually pretty fun. I want to keep my good shit, don't get me wrong, but I miss looting houses and squealing when I find an Enflield. Now I loot houses, see a mag that does not match my M9 SD, shrug, and move on, ignoring the countless cans of food and drink. Maybe dying isn't such a bad thing.

Try the military camps. Cherno, Elektro, Berezino, Stary, Green Mountain, Balota, NWA, NEA. I'd highly recommend the NWA.

Usually noobs are the ones repeatedly dying and squealing when they find an Enfield. I know that if I were to die now, I'd still be disappointed if I found one, and immediately want to hit Stary. And yeah, being killed PVP is good. Dying to hackers is not. PVP = Happy to move on Hackers = Want to ragequit.

Don't blame the clans. They're moral enough to work together and use the correct tactics that you yourself cannot do in order to get vehicles. Perks come with being in a clan, too. -

I've found two players within the space of an hour who were happy to team up. The server was laggy, though, and alas we all got parted when we all seemed to just run into walls. We were all in Cherno, too, so I went about looking for them and came across a different player with a hatchet who killed me. If those two people see this post, thank you. <3

What a touching post. I've personally gotten fed up with getting killed, so I've decided to go with the shoot-on-sight policy. I'm not a murderer fucktard, I've converted to banditry. If the player is unarmed, I will not kill. But I can't risk walking away if they're armed and then have them actually track me or find me two minutes later. Silvertain; /salute

T'sup everyone. I was just wondering that, when you first respawn, what are your top priorities? I usually hit the big cities - Cherno or Electro - to find my gear to survive. In descending order, my priorities are.. - Drink - Food - Water bottle - Hatchet - Hunting knife - Box of matches - Primary weapon + ammo - Map - Secondary weapon + ammo I just respawned, and within an hour I got all of these things, except the secondary weapon. I have the mags though! Just need a revolver or M1911. For now, I'm set to live in the wild forever. I came across two bodies literally next to each other at the Electro fire station and got most of my stuff from there.
