Thanks!!! That will really help. I'll try not to memorize it to not spoil too much! Great map tho’, I see now there is absolutely NO loot there (except food/drinks I guess). I only see some small blue circles in Pavlovo for example, are those lootable houses? Since houses are not in the legenda. Well thanks anyway, I will try out with the map this evening!

Since Rocket thinks of this game as an anti-game, I regard it highly unlikely this feature is going to be added. It's fun to see how some people react to a game which uses completely other mechanics then other games, and how people suggest things to make it look more like a "regular" game.

Rocket will be partaking, so what is the exact problem? They just made an exception ONCE. Don't start with "when they may do it, so can I!". And yeah, if you have some cool event, you can probably also ask permission to password is.

Would love to do it! I'm 24 years old, and the last week I have been joining the forum and I love it, actually to the point that I spend more time on the forum then in the actual game. I had several years of experience moderating the Gamer.nl forums (one of the biggest Dutch game fora with hundreds of active members), and also have been Administrator there for 2,5 years. I'm in GMT+2 and generally online from 07:00 AM to 00:30 AM (as I check the forums during my work).

[1.5.8.2] Consistenly loosing my thirst/starvation progress

I had the same problem when switching servers. I came only in one server, noticed my hunger and thirst, so I immediately took some food and my last drink. Almost immediately I manually disconnected as the group I was going to play with decided to change servers due to performance issues. Joining another server, I was very hungry and thirsty again, however, the waterbottle I consumed earlier was also empty! Like it saved me drinking the bottle, but not saving the restored thirst values. I will see if this problem persists next time I change server, by first restoring hunger/thirst and then checking my food/drink supplies. -
You have to click it on the right part of the interface, not the list-view in the top-left of the gear window.

If that is the sound I usually identify as someone shutting a door on a steel-wire fence, I am still not sure whether it is "music" or it is actually a sound-effect of a zombie walking against some sort of steel object. -

It has been said numerous times: players killing eachother is part of it, and the devs have no desire to reduce the number per sé. So at this point they do not desire a system to punish bandits, since that was never their intentions. I'm getting a little bit tired of these threads, just dumping ideas in one or two sentences without taking into account, well, the entire goal of the game. -

Pacing IS neccesary. Without war, we have no sense of peace, and without peace, there is no sense of war. Without safe-zones, there is no sense of danger. However, your point is clear, but you are the one jamming it through everyones throat. Like I said, people don't agree with your whole concept, so they ridicule a small part of it, but believe me, they just do not agree. Saying that (semi-)unrealistic parts should be available in a zombie game is no-no with zombie-fans in general. The idea is that you take a complete realistic concept, and you ONLY add zombies, and just look at how the scenario plays out. It doesn't condone the act of adding more unrealistic things, just because we already introduced something unrealistic as zombies. According to your logic, we can add more "semi-realistic" parts, like jetpacks. That's what terrifies me the most about zombie movies, how they just say, "what if only THIS would change in the world" (with THIS being the zombie infection), how would the world go to shit? However, I'm sure your point is noted as those ideas (and other, similar ideas) have already been posted here. Rocket will decide whether he agrees with you or not. -
I read some stuff on the forum here that people ran into the issue of players killing other players in that forest (debug forest right?). It should be some sort of "buffer area" where the server puts people in before they actually spawn at their location.

Running to your buddies, who dropped a flare on top of a hill at night, and you are running like a madmen with several zombies behind you. And then your buddies open fire on the zombies and you realize you are finally safe/secure. Or running during sundown to your buddies, and then just when everything is too dark to see, you hear "popping a flare" through TeamSpeak and you see a red flare lighting up in the distance. -

Find ways to get them to get stuck or slowed down. I understood several ladders can work, but I did not test this myself. But like Renegade says, trees work, also running through buildings slows them down, valuting over largers fenses. By running through a small town you should be able to lose a few zeds, or at least slow then enough to pick up ammo when you find it and reload. Another thing is hoping to find friendly survivors! -

Try Arma2 demo, which should give you a nice idea about performance. However, if you are willing to go to minimum settings, you are guaranteed to run it quite okay.
