    Stream Sniping A Huge Problem

If you really believe anyone can just start streaming and make that kind of money is just BS. Getting 25.000 is fake, period. And I don't really believe you have to much pride to legitimately make 25.000 (even though it is not that simple as you propose). Still, streamers should not cry about being killed tbh.
  2. There is no definite way to nail it 100%. However, I do prefer the good old recommended and minimum CPU/RAM/GPU requirements. People should be cautious when they are around the minimum specs. I think it is better than proposing "playing SA on your laptop is not possible", since that is entirely untrue, and still not solves anything for desktop users (saying "every desktop will run fine" is just as much BS).
  3. Little known fact is that executing the French happens a lot in the streets of the Netherlands where I live. It is sort of tradition, however our groups tend to be smaller and use less ammo. Usually after the sound of gunfire has filled the streets and echoes away, the streets are overtaken by the joyious laughter of children, curious to the new "Frenchie" being shot. After several minutes of inspecting, pointing, poking and grossed out faces, kids usually start to play with it, and even take peaces home. Next to the benefit of taking all that joy home, all the executions done daily also provide food for about 20.000 families a day. It baffles me to find out that most countries are so barbaric that shooting French is not only frowned upon, but even illegal!

    Stream Sniping A Huge Problem

No, unless they use a private hive or something. It would be terrible if groups could isolate them while still writing their process to the hive. This is not an issue to be fixed, or a bug. There is simply no way to block this, unless you have an idea. The point is, either you use some superficial method to keep them safe which would break immersion or punish people which would be retarded. If you want to stream, you just have to accept the consequence. The only thing we can do is disapprove of it. For now, streamers should find ways to circumvent the security risks. Use a delay for example, but that will only help a little bit.

My player is too slow ???

Read the comments, probably low fps. How do you see fps? google show fps dayz.
  6. Then it would be better to look into a way to communicate to people how they can expect their game runs. Just saying that laptops will probably not run it properly is not specific enough.
  7. If you have committed said crimes to the population of Chernarus I find it nothing above normal that you will pay the price with your blood. It is about damn time people stood up against the likes of you.

    Let´s talk about FOV...

There is no zoom level, change in zoom is inherent with changing FOV.

    Graphics Card Issues

This has nothing to do with DayZ. If you think DayZ SA runs hotter than other graphically demanding games, than those games are not as demanding as you think. A game can be very demanding, even while not looking that good (because of not being optimized), there are not really ways to make a game which can push your card further than it can be udner maximum stress. Also, 73 degrees is quite acceptable for a GPU. Don't worry about it, just have fun playing.

Can't find Dayz.cfg for better FPS rate

Have you already launched the game once? edit: that is not weird, many games generate certain files the first time booting.
  11. I know you want to help OP, but please use the search. These things have all been discussed at length. If you have anything to contribute to the individual issues, it is better to do that in well established threads.

Killed by a Bug, No more playing for me.

I understand what you mean. However, you already have issues with the permadeath thing. This alpha is for testing primarily, any fun you have is just an added bonus ;) Know that dying randomly is just because of Alpha. You now at least had some sort of reason, it could be just as well that your character is wiped in a patch. Therefore as said many times in these forums: do not get attached, you will lose your character over nothing. Also understand that the game, like life, is just unfair. You can happily start with your character, start walking and get shot 5 meters furthers by someone from behind.
  13. liquidje

Just me or are people missing the point?

With Zogvarn. Also, be aware that the priorities at this moment are pointed towards a working endproduct, making the alpha more fun to play is secondary.

    Cooldowns

No please. Nothing is more retarded than fresh spawning, walking 5 meters, have a bandit shoot you and wait for an hour to play again. If there are going to be timers, let it be (short) login/logout timers.

New player struggles ( gear, people, etc.)

I am in more or less the same situation as OP, having just played for about 4 hours of SA, but having enjoyed the mod a lot. I think your biggest error is staying at the coast. Yes, it seems that players don't spread out as much, thus the more reason to go immediately land-inward. I would not even bother with finding drinkable water at the coast, unless the server pop is low and the server has restarted recently. And please remember, the lack of zombies and loot is due to being alpha: loot is not respawned and zombies are limited as they are not yet optimized for high numbers. So this is not a design choice. For now, just head north, get some melee weapons, food and drinks. Then do whatever you want, get your revenge on the bandits at the coast perhaps? Getting ranged weapons seems a bit tougher at the moment, but finding the melee/food/drinks should equip you to go further looking for firearms.
  16. This is not true for all the laptops, same have their own memory. As we can probably conclude from the above: it depends on your specs. Same goes for desktops: not every desktop can run it decently, just like some laptops WILL run it decently (and which begs the question: define decent). I am running on a q6600 and a 7970 by the way, I reckon there will be laptop players out there who get more fps than me.

    Why everyone is soo unfriendly?

The mainpoint is not "surviving zombies". the main point is "survival in a world with zombies", zombies were never meant as the main threat, unless you have sources stating otherwise. KoS does not equal griefing. If I walk up north with gear and I see somebody who poses a risk I am entitled to shoot him, nothing griefing about it. Your second paragraph is interesting. Yeah, more zombies will be planned, and it should lower griefing around cities. Still, KoS is here to stay, there is a point where the risk of eliminating a threat is far more than the zombies. But still, the point is partly (not mainly persé) PvP, and the zombies just act as a balancer. Not everyone is killing everyone all the time in DayZ. Some form groups, some are loners, some are bad, some are good. The geste of the Romero movies is still present: people group up, are good/bad/gray and some of them kill eachother when they benefit from it, while other refrain from ti.

In desperate need of tech support again

Then test your RAM and harddisk as I suggested. It does not matter how new your PC is. Also update chipset drivers to be sure. And just update your drivers for your graphics. It is not that hard, and is the number one thing to do with technical issues is updating GPU drivers. Any other measures are more radical and more of a hassle. The fact that other games work is not a guarantee that it is not your drivers. Why else would DayZ SA not run?

    "It's an alpha."

I find the alternative retarded: that if you really want to play a game even tho' it is not completed, why should I not be able to buy it? Many people here played tons of hours of this Alpha and had loads of fun doing it. I understand your point that Alpha should be free, but to be honest, we have seen that (in part due to retarded kids) broken alpha's/beta's could have repurcussions for games, and I have the sense that this is becoming less with paid alpha's (and even still some people still don't get it and complain here about how unfinished the game is). From my point of view, early access is a take it or leave it deal. It is usually discounted. And yeah, there is a small risk of buying a broken game that is not getting fixed, but how often did this acutally happen with the high-profile games? Yeah, paying some no-name developer for a non-finished game is a risk you take yourself. Personally, all the games I backed or took early access on were not very broken and are still in continuious development. Also, understand how this works: if you are a small dev, you can't get tied up in your project for 3 years all the while hoping that your investment makes up for it. So hey, why shouldn't you release the game as early access when it is playable and the core mechanics are working? Which messes do you talk about? Are these early access games? This.

    "It's an alpha."

People have chosen to pay for the games they really want to play right now. Usually you get a discounted price. You get a taste for a game like it is during development. Some people like this, if you don't that is fine. I have been playing alpha's and beta's for years, I don't see any problem as long as your expectations are realistic.

    Why everyone is soo unfriendly?

First off, I was not talking about griefers, but KoS players as the discussion was about. And no, movies are not RL, but we do seem to distill some expectations from them (as they are inspired by real life), and I reacted to the fact that somebody was proving his point by misinterpreting movies/series. This all started with Which is just plain wrong. I do agree witrh you, no grievers, but maintain bandits.

In desperate need of tech support again

Have you done the basics, testing RAM for example, updating drivers? Are you running any custom launch options?

    Why everyone is soo unfriendly?

Great way to evade the Romero Classics (WATCH OUT SPOILERS). Night: almost entirely about cabin fever and human conflict Dawn: after the mid-part we just have the protagonists, the first people they run into after establishing themselves trash and shoot the mall up Day: Entirely about human conflict Also, the Walking Dead is a lot about human conflict. Yeah, they form their own group, but i.e. when they arrive at the prison they run into conflict with the ex-convicts. And yeah, Jericho is about a community formed to stick together, but also about how those groups conflict. A lot of these movies portray bandits in some way, and even people with "just" intentions to be driven to fight against eachother. DayZ is not about "all characters [players] thinking about themselves and shooting everyone on sight". There are some baddies, and some good players. Wow, just like in real life and in the series.
  24. It is not implemented yet afaik
