Every time you see a car parked in a empty street you think: VEHICLE!

Guys. The horde idea is old. It is a good one, but people have been talking about it for months now. Rocket's ears are bleeding of hearing "Please add hordes". I haven't see any official statements though. Maybe on the vanilla version of the stand alone?

This one I made on my iPad... sometimes I think how disastrous would be to have a "DayZ pocket edition" on it. I can't barely sleep for months now. Blame the zombies! Hope you like it! ps: I know the zombies on DayZ are not the living dead... but I like to picture them like that. I had terrible nightmares when I was a kid after watching Romero's "Dawn of the Dead".

Or just install DayZ Commander and use the filter options. Also, would be great to use punctuation on your OP. ;)

I got sniped by a server hopper ($%#@$%) in Cherno. Ok, it's part of life in DayZ. At least not a "hacker", just a "exploiter"... Problem is, when I get back to my body, and the guy I killed before getting sniped, I couldn't get the loot. Was if they weren't even there... I waited, moved, waited, waited... got sniped again. Respawned, ran back to the pile of corpses.... nothing again. This is the second time this happens to me. Why? (If you gonna say "Its Alpha, bahhh...." just go bother someone else. I want solutions or explanations)

Same just happened to me. I got sniped, dead. Created a new character... spawned unconscious with infinite hourglass... what do I do???

Next time I see someone stuck on a tree while running in place I will remember this piece of advice.

I say this is good news. All those people who came for the hype are now too bored to stick up with the game. Probably it means less KoS for fun, script kiddies and "hackers". Give me a server with 5 true players and I will be content. After some more development, new players will come by and actually play DayZ as it was meant to be played. The stand alone will have all the support of the community and the highlights of the game media, so I am not worried about the future of DayZ. About the competition, I would welcome more hardcore, cruel, experience oriented games. How many games is out there where you are afraid of getting killed?

Agree. Anything useful would attract more attention to the Z's. Even a makarov mag. Nobody cares about them anymore...

Hello, I play everyday starting around midnight, Tokyo time (GMT+9). If you happen to play in asian servers (not a requirement), such as JP, KR or SG, PM me so we can team-up. As a hero I despite the KoS mentality, except in case of bandits, whom I like very much to hunt down. Every survivor deserves a chance to proof being friendly. I play serious and enjoy strategy. Plan is to first gear up quickly in Cherno or Electro and then look for vehicles. Raid military installments and set a pair of tents for backup. Then go to the coast to help new spawns and kill bandits. Alone is quite a challenge. Nothing fancy here. Just looking for a partner to watch my six. We can debate strategies.

AHhhh... that's why. I didn't know that. Thanks for pointing out. I just though everybody were hiding bodies to piss me off even more.

I would say go for it. $30 is not that much and Arma 2 it's actually a good game. DayZ, even with all its problems, still one of the best games ever made (or almost made). If you don't like it, there are tons of other mods to play with Arma 2.

This is not karma. You only met a script douche that killed you and got you body hidden. Unfortunately I believe you gonna have more of those encounters. Bear with us, the legit dayz players.

I believe this bandit skin is a provisory solution to the "CoD kiddies" issue. By doing this, Rocket started a witch hunt and everybody who often kill players is suffering the consequences. Sometimes I find one or other nice bandit... but I would surely KoS if the bar was lower (like -20k humanity).

First: children ≠ ZOMBIE children As you said, it is just a game. There are tons of horror games that uses fetus, babies, children and worst (try Dead Space, even on iOS). Stop talking about morals, we are all grow ups here. The game definitely need more variation of zombies, such as zombie women, zombie children and, why not, zombie cops, zombie firemen, zombie medics, etc.

I can help you with vehicle hunting, driving and troop transportation. I also have a great interest in playing as medic. But you got so many app that I don't know if you need anybody else.

I don't have NVG as well. After playing on hackers-filled servers on weekends, I surely start mondays on the shore. We can come up with a solution for that. How about US servers?

For me I simply alt+tab to desktop and then alt+tab back to the game. This causes Arma to reload the graphic game engine (it takes around 5 seconds). It might not work for everybody but for me works 80% of the time. If it doesn't, I just repeat the process until it does. Also there is a in-game command to make the engine to reload. It doesn't work so good for me, but my friends are using it. Hit shift + [numpad -], then type “FLUSH”.

I think is some kind of glitch... specially when shooting zombies close quarters... the bullet seems to spawn behind them, so I have to step back a little to finish the kill. It's annoying.
