I play DayZ with my wife and she took the female model as well. I have to say the game 'feels' even better now with her playing a female model. I had to get used to the audio though, kept thinking she was a Z :P -

I don't think there are manyt people who want to completely remove Bandits or PvP in general. It's just that its tumbled overboard in the other direction that there is almost ONLY PvP aas far as player interaction goes which is a shame. The game needs a good mix of both. -
I think that's because there are no 'Hero's' in DayZ. You are either a Survivor or a Bandit.

2nd one, first one I would buy as well if the character next to the "I" wasn't there. (It would be the best then :) ) -
Realism or not, the lack of melee is a GOOD thing in my book. It makes survival that much more intense and hard. Out of bullets? Well you're screwed and you'd better run. If you still have relative good melee then people won't care anymore, making the game 'dumber' So I say NO to melee.

You can't die from starvation offline? Just your hunger increases but it will never kill you until you log in? :) Not sure :) Anyway ontopic: Awesome story, always good to see a traitor get eaten! -
And you don't -- Too many people complain about parts of the mechanic that are simply just not true at all. Same goes for the infection. First off, if you play during the day your temperature does not drop AT ALL. Ok maybe, just maybe it can go to like 99 or 98, but that's it. I've been playing every day since the patch and haven't had a temp below 90 yet. When its raining sit below a tree or inside a house. Same goes for people claiming they got killed by infection, its bullshit. Infections in the game at the moment can't kill you.

The 'rarity' of a compass is one of the reasons DayZ can be so tense, not excactly knowing where you are and where you are going. The thrill of finally finding a compass. If you swapped pistol with a compass and made pistols as rare as compasses, well, that would bring much more issues. Its perfect the way it is, stop trying to make this game easier. You are rewarded for staying alive long and scavenging well when you finally find a compass, lets keep it that way shall we? :) -

Would be way to crowded. 50-75 people per server is perfect. Cities are pretty crowded while the inlands are more scattered. It feels more real that way to me. -

I love these additions! Indeed DayZ needs to be all about survival, not just getting weapons and PvP. And catching a cold in a world where medical supplies and warm cozey homes are a rarity is a very dangerous and real thing. I love it! Keep it up rocket and team! -
Then go play Stalker if thats a better game for you. Why do you so desperatly want this game to be something it's not?

It won't respawn when you sit in the building. But something will respawn when no player is close to it. Not to say it will spawn anything useful though ofcourse.

Welcome to sandbox gaming. The game is what you make it, if you do nothing then don't play the game. Or do you need 'perks' and 'achievements' -- please go back to MW2.

Also -5000 humanity? You shot more then one person OR you kept shooting bullets in your target after it died. The amount of bullets you put in a target effects the amount of humanity you loose. Stop waisting bullets. Case of l2p here.
