hey! for the last 2 days ive been dealing with the same shit! and believe my I know how frustrating it is. I tried all of the above fixes, some stuff just didnt change a thing and others just annoyed me enough to make me rage quit. what ended up fixing it for me was opening ports, i still get connetion failed or issues (I cant even remember what it sais but you know which error i mean) but when i retry it works most of the time if not always. so i opened the following ports: http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/3170/naamlooshu.png some of these ports might be overkill but i visited so many forums and websites all touching on the arma 2 connection issues. if you dont know how to port forward try to find your modem here: http://portforward.com/ (website with instructions) and just type in google, "what is my Ip" (then just type the IP in your browser) What i personally had to do was find my local ip.. because i think we have more than 1 modem in this house, doing this brought me to another interface and when i opened ports there it worked. Also make sure UpNp is enabled, always makes games work better. If you want to find your local Ip. open CMD command and type ifconfig. and the IP behind standard gateway was the one i was looking for. I really hope this can fix it for you as well because your friends are right, this mod is epic ;) Good luck sir if my explanation was lacking and you need more info, just ask.
