^^^^^ exactly, how very dare they put zombies in a zombie game. Storm in a frigging t cup if you ask me, I thought they were all quite funny and looked forward to finding them. Should be an achievement for getting them all, lol.

Good insight into how much work goes into making DayZ the "game" but boy they look soooooo much further from launch with every update. Patience is a virtue they say, seems we will need it by the bucket load.

You are better equipped to survive as a team, can set up over watch for when you do raids towns etc. The social side is better obviously, lol as wandering the woods on your own can get lonely. Playing on your own has more nerve racking moments though, your always more vulnerable. This can be fun, I regularly play on very high pop servers on my own just for the buzz.

According to Steam I've played Arma OA (aka Dayz) for just over 500hrs since August. This means it's most likely the most time I've invested in any game or very close to time the I spent playing CoD MW back in the day. With the Standalone not out I can see a 1000hrs in total passing and that's quite scary when you think about it. So to put it in perspective, how many hours have you guys spent in DayZ?

There is no such thing as hack free, while some whitelisted servers are better than others I've yet to find one that didn't get hacked or have folk spawning in gear etc.

The only folk I trust are new spawns, as most of the time they are friendly and just want to get on with gearing up. However after that it's Defo trust no one and on maps like Taviana you can't even trust new spawns.

I love spawning there and running to the bridge to suicide, only to five half a dozen bodies already there, lol

My friend managed to hide one in a massive stone in the ground. Unless hour about the ten feet away from the right side, you would never seen it.

You spawn on the coast You go explore the wastelands You find a few bits and bobs You die You spawn by the coast You learn by your mistakes DayZ is your game, played your way. Why ruin that by asking what you need to do. Play it and make your own game. Enjoy.

I don't bother with tents as they usy get raided. I find it best to carry everything you need and stock up on your travels.

It is possible to play using an iphone as a wifi hot spot, i know someone who plays like this. Not sure how much data it is an hour but he gets 300ms pings on servers in the UK, he lives in the UK.

Then wait for them to come back to kill them and loot their corpses. ;)

I love nothing more than finding a high pop server, spawning in Cherno and finding my way through town. Kitting up with a map, food, meds and gun. The more people the better, maybe I will get shot, killed or rob a couple players but then that's the fun of it. :)

The sun goes down, it gets dark and you go eek!! ;)

Sounds to me like you've managed to double tap "free look", I've moved mine to my mouse and I can't remember what the default key binding is. You quickly get to know what buildings you can enter or not, some items are just glitch to pick up. Sometimes you have to pick up all the crap on the same spot as the one you want. It's all just DayZ, it gets better, begins to make sense, then your backpack swallows your AS50 and it's gone all Pete Tong again. Enjoy :)

We have a rogue unit of the Fogeyz on our Taviana server that need taking out, if you feel up to the challenge just search for Fogeyz Taviana in DayZcommander :)

We run a private hive with active admins and server roll backs, so should a script kiddie try and mess with anyone playing, we ban them and roll back to set things right. Whitelisting will be added soon.

Your in the middle of a zombie apocalypse, you have no food, water or weapon to protect yourself from the zombie horde and bandits that roam the waste lands. What do you do, SURVIVE for as long as possible. (in all reality you'll be dead within the hour but hey, welcome to DayZ.)

Because some of us like to be sociable while playing. We have our own TS server for anyone to use while playing on the Fogeyz server. Side chat on for typed messages only, pop along and say hi. :)

After the last update, I kinda feel like a noob again, lol.

Your not doing anything wrong, just learning to play DayZ. You will get used to spawn points, learn the best places to go, the easiest places to find what you need. We all went through the same trials and mistakes, it's just part of learning to survive. The first few weeks are in fact the best few weeks, although with the new update, even I feel like a noob again. Dayz is a harsh game, full of life threatening pitfalls and perma death. It's exactly the reason why it feels so fresh and new, gaming without the safety nets. Enjoy. :)
