Guilty as sin lol!!! I've done it twice, once alt + f4 which spawned me back in Cherno, got sniped trying to leave town so hot my just deserts I guess. Second last night up near Stary, I'd dropped my AK to get my axe out to kill a zed in a shack for a can of coke, miles put of town. As soon as I did bullets pinged all around me in the dirt, so I panicked and quit to lobby. From others who dropped back I'm sure there was four of them so I stood no chance staying. Again my punishment is only having an uzi and five bullets to go to the NW Airfield. Doh...

I don't hate them, I hate dying. The bandits put the tension and fear into DayZ. :)

This X 100 I went up last night and kept to tree lines in and around South West Stary, saw a few teams frog marching south so keep your eyes peeled. Your at such a disadvantage on your own. Finally got within 2k and planned on coming in through the SW side to see if I could see snipers etc. All was going well when while crawling to a hut for some coke when loads of gun shots kept pinging all around me. I panicked as I'd dropped my AK to deal with a zed so I could grab a can of soda. Turned out to be the Blokup Welsh and three guys, I knew I had no chance so quit out, oh the shame. The server crashed and when i came back to get my gun these guys came back in, one staying in the lobby probably looking at me doing the same. Left me now having to go to the airfield with an uzi and nothing else :( Don't fancy my chances now, best advice I can give is find a team, it's very hostile up there. If you insist on going alone, hit the woods NE of Stary and you can get there almost unseen. The helicopter fields are a nightmare, little cover and lots of folk doing the same.

Ok noob question alert!!!! I'm used to xbox and in game chat in pc games but obviously that don't work across the map in Dayz. If I use Skype with my X1's headphones how does it all work, is it still push to talk etc etc. I don't have speakers and tbh like game sounds through my headphones as I'm a little hard of hearing. Anyway thanks in advance...

Seems to me.... Without the bandits the Coalition probably wouldn't exist, without the Coalition the bandits would get bored sniping noobs in Cherno. Let the fun begin :)

Hi guys I've been on here a week or so, hiding in the new players section mostly. The names Darren in real life and in game. I live in the South West and am over 40 lol. I play mostly on UK servers, 120, 122 and 198 off the top of my head. Friendly so long as you don't shoot or take to wearing a rag on your head. Playing just to stay alive, making it to Day 2 would be nice. Anyway if you see me around say hi or wanna team up pm me on here. :)

I've been playing a week or so with settings on high plus vsync on and getting a solid 60fps. However now, after i play for an hour or so they become more erratic. Dropping as low as 25fps but jumping up and down wildly. Temps seem ok, idle 35 dergree to a max of about 60. I read the guys graphics setting in the thread here but it didn't help. I just dropped every thing to Normal, looks like shit, yet still the problem persist to a point its unplayable. I'm new to all this, a 360 player before so i'm a bit of a loss. Any help would be appreciated... :( All the components are only a couple mths old :- Windows 7 64 Bit i5 3450 3.10mhz 4Gb 1333mhz ram GTX560ti 448 250GB HDD 580W Xilence PSU

Of course I knew what Skype is, I just wanted to know how it worked in conjunction with my game sound through my headphones. I'm sure the X1's will work as they were obviously adapted for the 360 with an xtra cable. They come with usb power and headphone, voice jacks. I will have a play tonight but thanks for the help. Now I just need to find a friend lol

Never stayed alive long enough, tried to find NW Airfield without a map or compass, got terrible lost but at least got to see a lot of forest. Then a bad spawn put back in Cherno.

Mostly everyone and the ones who do speak don't hang around for very long. Probably as worried about you as you are of them.

It's so satisfying chopping someone with an axe lol. Especially when they are armed.... :)

Lol, think I had something to do with saying it was good up there. I found loads of kit and have trouble with the southern airport. Checked three times last night and it was empty, just a few clips and nothing at all in the hangers. The good thing about Berezino is the fact it's pretty empty so you can get in and out. I've never found anything good at a deer stand. Your right about the artifacts up there, I get it at the southern airport on some servers and got them in Cherno last night. I've had to quit out of Berezino because it became unplayable at times.

Maybe so but he had obviously killed more than one person, so had a history and i've been shot so many times in the back without so much as a word. I'm not gonna take the risk. Also after I panicked and killed one guy my humanity soon went back up, he should of sat in a bush and waited lol. ;)

Lol! I found and lost and M107 & L85A today, you will lose yours sonner rather than later! :P

Now I've played four games, spawns, in the past two days. First on mostly quiet servers and I managed to get out of Cherno and did a good old tour of the North. I was aiming to find the NW Airfield but without a map got a wee bit lost. I found two crash sites, an M107 and an L85A with NV. However what i didn't find, was people and to be honest it was a lot of hiking and not much else. Then a long load and me quitting out left me back in Cherno on a high pop server, didn't go to well. Being nice just means you die quickly so I lost my guns to some bandit without ever firing my guns in anger. Then came three fairly quick spawns, always getting to Cherno or Electro and attempting to find loot. It was tense, there are loads of snipers and bandits all over these two towns, i was fired at and chase around. Shot in the back grabbing loot and sniped off a roof. Ultimately I died, never lasting more than 40mins What is was though, was fun and I have to say better that being a hermit out in the wilds. So while some of the new guys might hate the harsh world in Cherno, it bags more fun than being on your own up north. :)

No I like the sim but it just more fun being hunted than marching around on your loan some in the woods.

I only ever find a few loot sights on a crash, maybe two? Found an L85A2 as well, then when stuck on the Loading screen i quit out through Task manager and next time spawned in Cherno. Not needing any loot i decide to get out of town, was really careful but one crawler squarked and 60 secs later a sniper popped one shot in my back. GAME OVER... Never even got to use them... :(

Likewise Bigwainer for being such a knob, he's entitled to his opinion even if you don't share it. Be nice or just do one eh! ;) Back on topic, it is frustrating OP but some of what feels terrible for you now is actually what makes the game so tense. There are nice folk out there, just not very many and some you meet won't trust you. That's just the harsh reality of DayZ. I just love it.... :)
