You can get Arma 2 CO slightly cheaper direct from Bohemia and it's the same Steam dl. That's how I got it.

There are a lot of these on ebay, some in new cases like this and some in the old ones, its all recon gear. My mate was gonna get one, i advised him to not bother. Seems to me someone is trying to make a quick buck out of folk who don't really know what they are buying. (Nice to know my i5 3450 and MSI GTX 560 Ti 448 Twin Frozr III was a pretty good choice, just shows what a bit of reading can do lol. I've been a 360 guy up until recently)

First game I've played that makes you feel nervous playing, makes you think about killing, that keeps you from sleeping because of the adrenaline of a good run in Cherno. It's a no brainer if you ask me :)

Biggest tip I can give is DON'T AGRO THE ZEDS! You see soooo many new spawners running around like headless chickens with zeds behind them, this just attracts the snipers who are your real problem. Ideally you should be in and out without ever firing a shot, another dead give away for the snipers which if your clever you can use to your advantage. Then take it slow, don't be in a rush, listen for gunshots and look and look again. It's not that hard but such a buzz when you leave a packed Cherno with your kit. :)

I can see someone joining just to slaughter you guys, keep ya eyes peeled. I would be up for it buy Saturday at that time would be hard to make it a Defo for me. Family and all that.

Never heard that one before, stupid camping whores will use any trick to kill unarmed new spawners. Loads being killed on the last server i played on. Still made it easier to get in and out of Cherno.

Found this and a bullet in my skull. About a thousands meter due East of Grishino and 500 meter due West of a crash site marked on the map. There's a dirt track and down the hill, across the track heading East is the wood. I was hunting for crash sites when i found it, spotted the tractor and a tent or two, obviously didn't check hard enough but got shot before I moved ten feet. Happy hunting. :)

I was killed through a wall once in a fortnight of playing, nothing else. Guess you must of been unlucky.

It might make it to next gen consoles on dedicated servers. However Rocket says he would need to sell about 2million copies on pc first, which is his obvious priority. I've love it on console, then I could get my mates playing, bit of a bit ask telling them it's good so go buy a 750 pound pc. As for your lappy, not a chance imo. Sorry.

Turn off AA and lower everything to normal. Then it's just a case of playing with things one at a time, there is a guide here somewhere that's very good. Also fps can nose dive in towns but be pretty good in the country side, it's just how arma is I'm afraid. Enjoy DayZ though, it's EPIC. :)

Finally got my first Bandit, i agro'd a load of zeds and ran to the supermarket in Cherno. He must of heard me and asked, "Hello you friendly" to which i said, "yes and i donn't have a gun". He popped a couple zeds, told me to be cool and thats when i clapped eyes on him and his head scarf. :o Took me two seconds to start chopping him up with my axe, what mad me laugh is when he said "Ow!" He would of done me as soon as my back was turned, so no hard feelings. lol Anyway i thought i was supposed to get plus Humanity for killing Bandits, it was 2500 before and is now and i do have one bandit kill??? :huh:

Well I won't lose any sleep over it, been shot in the back by quite a few retards already.

Lol, i've been thinking like this, the more kit you have the more your nerves take a pounding. Its often a relief to be on the beach with nothing to lose again.

Guilty as sin lol!!! I've done it twice, once alt + f4 which spawned me back in Cherno, got sniped trying to leave town so hot my just deserts I guess. Second last night up near Stary, I'd dropped my AK to get my axe out to kill a zed in a shack for a can of coke, miles put of town. As soon as I did bullets pinged all around me in the dirt, so I panicked and quit to lobby. From others who dropped back I'm sure there was four of them so I stood no chance staying. Again my punishment is only having an uzi and five bullets to go to the NW Airfield. Doh...

I don't hate them, I hate dying. The bandits put the tension and fear into DayZ. :)

This X 100 I went up last night and kept to tree lines in and around South West Stary, saw a few teams frog marching south so keep your eyes peeled. Your at such a disadvantage on your own. Finally got within 2k and planned on coming in through the SW side to see if I could see snipers etc. All was going well when while crawling to a hut for some coke when loads of gun shots kept pinging all around me. I panicked as I'd dropped my AK to deal with a zed so I could grab a can of soda. Turned out to be the Blokup Welsh and three guys, I knew I had no chance so quit out, oh the shame. The server crashed and when i came back to get my gun these guys came back in, one staying in the lobby probably looking at me doing the same. Left me now having to go to the airfield with an uzi and nothing else :( Don't fancy my chances now, best advice I can give is find a team, it's very hostile up there. If you insist on going alone, hit the woods NE of Stary and you can get there almost unseen. The helicopter fields are a nightmare, little cover and lots of folk doing the same.

Ok noob question alert!!!! I'm used to xbox and in game chat in pc games but obviously that don't work across the map in Dayz. If I use Skype with my X1's headphones how does it all work, is it still push to talk etc etc. I don't have speakers and tbh like game sounds through my headphones as I'm a little hard of hearing. Anyway thanks in advance...

Seems to me.... Without the bandits the Coalition probably wouldn't exist, without the Coalition the bandits would get bored sniping noobs in Cherno. Let the fun begin :)

Hi guys I've been on here a week or so, hiding in the new players section mostly. The names Darren in real life and in game. I live in the South West and am over 40 lol. I play mostly on UK servers, 120, 122 and 198 off the top of my head. Friendly so long as you don't shoot or take to wearing a rag on your head. Playing just to stay alive, making it to Day 2 would be nice. Anyway if you see me around say hi or wanna team up pm me on here. :)
