Just been watching some videos on YouTube, Dayz obviously. I think I may have slaughtered a hero this afternoon, only my third murder. Bugger I feel guilty now. :(

Don't forget the trees, the trees can eat you alive. One attacked me, broke my legs and I very nearly bled to death.

If I'm close to where I died, then I try to get my kit back if it's worth it. Other than that a mad dash around all the loot spawns in Cherno or Electro. You soon get used to where everything is, the only problem is how many bandits are around.

For sure, I wouldn't want a bandit free game but some survivors clearly shoot on sight regardless. You need bandits to keep the tension. Pinning two guys in the supermarket in Electro was ace, every time they popped their heads up I let a few rounds off. To their credit the did kill me when I bum rushed them, lol. Anyway, I'm not a very good bandit, I've already let one guy go.

I did try, oh how I tried. Some of the deaths are funny, satchel charge in the fire station tower, bastard bringing a whole load of zeds with him then shot me in the legs. However the number of times folk pretend to be nice only to wack you as soon as your backs turned is unreal. Even got to 4040 humanity ffs. :(

In the middle of a game and I got kicked for #20 but I only found an axe?

Got down to 120 blood when i crawled back into a tree and broke my leg, yeah Wtf. Two cans of food and morphine left me at 520 Blood. I headed back into the wilds, did not chance town as i kept passing out. Two sheep later and I crawled back from death. Took a while but I made it :)

First stupid act was laying on a hill over electro long enough for a bandit to kill me. (at least I actually saw him this time) Second, and running back to collect my kit, got most back, to hear a sniper in the hills. Spend twenty Mins tracking to within ten feet, only for him to turn and shoot me in the face. Why oh why didn't I shoot when i had the chance. Last going back to the fire station and seeing all the windows blown out. Climbs up the first flight of steps and see a package on the floor. Tries to pick it up but couldn't, carries up the next stairs thinking "That looks like a satchel charge, then BOOM!!. That was a satchel charge... Someone shoot me now.... :(

I had only just spawned again so had nothing to lose really. You should try it, gets the adrenaline pumping that's for sure.

Played for two weeks and have yet had this happen, feeling quite left out lol. OP, it just keeps on giving to, never played a game like it.

I found loads of tents, always left them as they are supposed to disappear after a server restart.

You didn't do anything wrong, the game just bugged out on you. It's happened to loads of player, myself included. Just roll with it and start again, you soon get used to loot spawns etc so it don't take long to get half decent kit again.

Are the loot spawns close to the crash sites or spread further out. I only ever find one or two.

The players are what made this game, it's their stories, their videos. The game is just a space in which to dream them up. :)

Seem to think you have two threads going? Anyway heres the link i promised, all the files in the right place etc. I used DayzCommander at the end though, it worked for me and i'm very new when it comes to mods etc. Oh and don't be put off, most pc games install easily, DayZ was by far the most hassle.

I would change my isp, do you live in the middle of no where?

I'm at 4040 and hope to get mine soon, it's a long old slog though. To many idiots killing new spawners or camping in bushes. Taken me two weeks to get this far.
