At present, whilst I'm waiting for the "hacker free" DayZ standalone. What ever the poor guy who's just turned his back on me is carrying. ;)

I've ended up abandoning a whole system, aka the Xbox360 and all its games for my pc and Dayz. Haven't played anything else really in the last couple months.

Can't get on the site to download the 2.10 update????

How does anyone else set this up?

How are you viewing them and what they do, we have our own server and this would be extremely useful.... Sorry if thats a really stupid question :blush:

What rubbish!!!! You can get geared up pretty quickly with one trip through Balota Airfield, Cherno or Electro or head inland and look for a farm with a barn. When you first play, its scary, the zeds are a problem and the pvp can put the shits up you. Enjoy these feelings, they are intense and some of the best you will feel in game, in ANY game, EVER!!!! You will die, lots, you will lose your kit many times but this is the fun of DayZ. Now the zeds are pretty easy to lose, crouch run when you see a village, don't worry to much if they see you. If you hear the scream, run! Now run through buildings, around corners or through trees and bushes, then crouch run again. Once you lose line of sight your good to carry om looking for loot. Be aware that agro'd zed give your position away and that when the pvp becaomes a problem. Other than that your on your own, stop reading the forums and go play. Enjoy the terror, i promise you, you will look mback on it as the best feelings in a game you've ever had. After that, teaming up is a whole new ball game but then thats a story for another time. B)

We have plenty of guys from the US and well as the UK/EU and are definitely a more mature group. (30+) What we aren't though is a clan, just some good old boys and gals having a laugh. From the DayZcommander server list more and more are private hive these days anyway.

I'd wait for the standalone if I was you, private hives are better but not hack proof. You either lock it and it's dull as he'll or have a white list which isn't 100% script kiddie proof. I've had weeks when I've not been hacked and weekends when it's been terrible. This is on our own private hive server. :)

I wasn't so friendly i shot that dude in the barn, after the three of us spawned in Electro, after 30s. I don't care, no "friendly" etc and they die, not that it made any difference to the hacker as he/she had god mode on. Luckily they were friendly and dropped quite a bit of kit. Roll on the standalone version :) The best bit for me tonight was everything from getting shot and meeting up again.
