What i've experianced in Day Z so far

I beg to differ on that, one night we had one guy kill nine of us with an L85A and a Ghillie. The only reason we got him was because one guy had logged for his supper and came back as the dude was looting our truck and got shot in the back :) -
On my very first spawn. Running NW from Kamenka, all the way to the edge of and into the debug plains. Spending thirty minutes or so wondering what it's all about, thinking my game was broke because the colour had all gone. Then dying of thirst in sight of a log cabin not far from where I spawned. Doh! I didn't much like Dayz after that, lol.

On the Fogeyz server, I'd guess about 30yrs old. -
Try our server, details below. It has 24hr daylight and frequent server restarts plus a roll back option should we get hacked, which does happen from time to time.

As you've already splashed the cash, then no its not to late. Jump in and enjoy the fear, the first week or so is by far the best feeling any game will ever give you imo. Also, if your playing DayZ, don't you already have CO? We run a 24hr daylight server you might like to play on, when it's dark its scary dark in DayZ. :)

Not sure about what makes you an intelligent player but I sure as hell know what makes you a stupid one. Flying the heli without auto hover on and drifting into the hillside while reading the map. All the while your mates are screaming at you, lol. Doh! -
We have a private hive, currently not whitelisted but with active admins and a roll back option in case of script kiddies. We are also 24hr daylight, ideal for new players and average 25+ players a night, we are also ranked 92nd most popular server on player count. Come try us out and see what's what. :)

Your probably playing on private hives, which means it's per server. If you find games connected to the DayZ servers then they will carry over across. Check in DayZcommander when you launch DayZ, you should see a little cloud symbol with or without a cross, hover your cursor over it and it will say if it is a private hive or not.

There's supposed to be 100 on the server, be buggered if I can find them, lol. Still always plenty of Heli's though. :) -
There isn't anywhere 100% safe and even if you found a spot, chances are your tent will glitch and end up disappearing. When we have a heli we patrol all over the North and West, tents are easy to see from up there.

It's perfectly normal for DayZ, i have a Core i5 and a GTX 560ti 448 and get 50-60 out in the woods etc, drops to 25-30 in town but drops to 10 in a car sometimes. I've read posts from guys with GTX 680's having similar issues. Setting video memory to high helps, set shadows to high, so gfx card renders them seems to help a little. Certain servers are worse than others, server population makes it worse, the list goes on and on. I found lowering settings made no difference really but an SSD helps apparently. That's my next purchase, after the Standalone is out, if I need it.

Rog castle is one spot, usually after a server restart.

The first few days are by far the best for the survival side of things, it's never quite the same after that. However it evolves into another beast altogether, with meeting folk, teaming up and repairing cars and helis. Then there's base building, base looting and pvp, it sucks up your life like no other game. I've been in a good three months now and it's still bags of fun.

We found one on our server, took an hour to find scrap metal to repair it, twice, after firefight and grenade attack. Had three cars and five of us guarding, looting. It was a scream and we did eventually take of with it, although managed to crash fifteen Mins later, lol.
