You can get along not killing other players but it is very hard at times. There are sooooooo many pvp douchebags that your constantly at risk of imminent death but it does make life interesting. -

It's a pretty good update for DayZ, like a more hardcore Redux. Only played for one evening and it was fun, harder finding loot/guns but a hacker wasted 3hrs worth of work.

Hopefully this will be fixed in the standalone, it should be the same for everyone imo. Also I've been told is messes up the shooting through a scoped rifle.

It all depends on who you meet and how lucky you are, we've spent evenings flying folk around in a heli but just as easily shoot on sight if we feel someone is a threat. Usually the further north you are, the less friendly folk are.

Some of the new ideas sound great, "pull over guys, I need to poop". First time that happens I will let out a little wee. Pmsl :)

You could try our server, UK based but we have plenty from all over the globe playing. We swap between whitelist and open with the option to roll back when needed. Like we did last night after some carpet bombed NWA lol. They may stop us for a bit but they don't ever win. :)

We run a separate TS server with multiple channels for our own group, bandits and fellow noobs. The extra channels are useful when we are at different places on the map.

A guy teleporting behind me, I noticed the sound of extra footsteps behind me and turned to see him running there in a Ghillie, carrying a Fal. I danced around him for a bit but he wouldn't answer me, so thought what the heck and shot him with my Winchester. Blood started spurting so I fired again and he hit the deck with a crack as his leg broke. He broke mine with a shot of the Fal but passed out, I finished him off to his screams of "what did you do that for" and swearing revenge. Lol. :)
