Hey don't tar us all with the same brush. Whilst not exactly a clan the Fogeyz run and play on our own server. The only advantage we use is TS and good communication. While there will be abusers, as in all walks of life, some of us are proud to fight within the rules.

I turn my mouse settings right down and it improves things for me. Don't chase the zeds when aiming, let them walk/run into your line of site. I also like the fact it's not a twitch shooter, gives us old boys more of a chance. ;)

Buy yourself a graphics card for gods sake man. :P

Download Dart and use that first, very basic admin control over players, kicks and bans. No chance of breaking anything server side. All you need is the server ip/port and password to log in :)

I'd rather carry a Fal or M14 Aim than either these guns but a M4 sd is Defo handy for zeds.

It is a hard game to learn but then that's half the fun of it imo. The first frustrating hours, scared of zeds or players, thinking you have to crawl everywhere, searching every building on the map and getting lost up north. These truly are some of the best, frightening moments you will have with the game, you just don't know it yet. I was like you, first ever spawn I died of thirst lost in the woods, thought it was the worst hiking sim ever. Lol Come and try our server, we do our best to help new players over typed side chat. I've seen plenty of script kiddies on whitelisted servers, they are better but not 100% idiot free. As for the OP, good idea but you would probably be shot in the back by said hacker with God mode on.

FogeyZ daily update : Well it would seem last night was script kiddies night. If I didn't ban one I banned four separate little idiots. Our kill messages and side chat very quickly weeding them out. How they think killing someone in Cherno one minute and someone else way way above NWA the next won't get them found out I never know. Still found out and banned, server rolled back leaving us all to carry on regardless. It's as if they never existed ;)

Well the not so "secret" base has been found, we spent several hour fighting off various groups last night. One even sent in a Kamikaze plane to destroy our loot horde. :lol: :lol: :lol: We are still climbing the rankings but still no where near our last servers record. So if your looking for a "mature" server with plenty of PvP action, pop in a see whats what. B)

Your welcome guys, glad you enjoyed the, albeit, brief flight. I think the server a a whole has crashed five or six this weekend. :)

We wanted to do this so we were easily recognised in the heat of battle, sadly our server wouldn't allow it. :(

Teaming up with a good group has to be the best way to keep things interesting, the social aspect of the game beats the loan wolf by far. Playing on one server so you get to know the good guys and bandits, taunting each other over side chat. This is what keeps it fresh for me and I'm playing nearly every day.

Some you have to email, other are set up so you just register on their website for instant access. Usually you join the server, then get kicked but follow the link in the kick message . They will have your GUID by looking in Dart etc, then you just give them your in game name. We've used both methods but find rollbacks a better option. White lists don't guarantee a hacker free server and can put players off joining.

DayZcommander is the way to go.

Either hit F or change to your axe and back, it's happened to me so your not the only one fella. As for a stupid question, that's what the noob forums are for, we all started out here. :)

I find it can vary from server to server, I have a GTX 560ti 448 and a i5 3450 and get solid 60 fps with v sync on out in the wilds, dropping to around 25 in Cherno. However on some its far worse dipping as low as 10 so I avoid them like the plague. On our server at present its pretty smooth, with most things set to high, AA off, HDR normal, post processing off and i'm finding it doesn't drop below 25. :)

We've now climbed over 2500 places in the ranking in just over a week with our most successful / busy night on Saturday evening. So a big thanks to all who have played on the server to date, let's make it into the top 100 and beat our previous best. :)
