You're not launching the beta properly... either that, or the servers you're trying to connect do aren't running the same Beta as you. When on the main screen, check in the bottom right hand that you are infact running 1.6.93701.

I'd want to pay a one-off price, none of this WoW-style monthly/per life fee.. Happy to pay full-price for it in the UK - providing it was running on the latest Real Virtuality engine (ArmA3) engine/specs.

Yes It would change the game completely - for the better. The only worry I have, however, is what of spawn-kill bandits? Although, I suppose there'd be little for them to profit on (bar beans and water) -
Funnily enough, the kill on sight attitude is as contagious as the virus that plagues Chernarus. I know that a lot of people will shoot on sight, that's why I, ideally, avoid all player contact apart from my group of survivors I play alongside - however, if I was in an unescapable confrontation with a guy I've never met before, then I could understand how he would be tempted to shoot me. He doesn't know what I'm thinking. That works both ways as well - Since I can't tell what he's thinking, I'm gonna be more tempted to unload some rounds his way before he plucks up the courage to do the same to me. Quite the predicament.

I wonder if I would count as a cheat if I took one... I've not found a SINGLE god damn tent in DayZ so far, and this picture is tempting me on stupid levels.

For me, the offline depletion of food/hydration levels is a massive inconvenience. I work all day, and by the time I get home, I've literally got a space of an hour and a half/2 hours to get a little bit of DayZ in... Most of it's spent running in wilderness with no loot to find... But at the same time, I still play DayZ when I can... I didn't even know there was plans for this to be removed? -
As much as I support this, if it was polled it would go one way only. The people with poor loot will vote for it. The people with good loot, and bases set up already will vote against it.

Hi there, Feel like a top n00blet asking this, considering I've been on DayZ for over a month now, but... what the hell is a deer stand? I've probably looted one before, or walked past one, but I can't for the love of me visualize one when I hear the word 'deer stand'. Cheers chaps!

There's trade posts popping up on servers.. There's Dr Wasteland MD and his bunch of Samaritans trawling Chernarus helping strangers.. Hell, I've even seen small PMC's appearing, taking beans for payment. Either you've the smallest imagination out there, or this is something you've outrightly considered. DM my arse. -

As much as I woulda screwed if someone kamikaze'd my truck, that was thoroughly enjoyable. Hahaha.

If you're using Steam for it, then you can hold down the sprint key, press Left Shift + Tab to open up the Steam overlay. You'll notice your character is still running once you've let go of the sprint key, when the overlay is up. Press Left Shift + Tab again to close the overlay, and then you'll find your character is still sprinting - all you have to do is move the mouse to direct him/her!
