Seems a bit pointless (if it's meant to resemble DayZ) just because it's Garry's Mod gameplay footage. Essentially just looked like footage from Halflife 2.

Why does it matter? If you've a problem with what someone has said, then reply and smash them into the ground with your better logic. It annoys me because I've a strong feeling some people post soley to get dem beans. -
Feedback on status of infectious diseases in DayZ

Now, I'm no medical student but I believe even though there are vaccines to some of these, there are (as far as I know) no cures for meningitis? Maybe that's just me being a doltz, but if that is the case, can we assume that some of these diseases (if caught) can be a terminal sentence? Don't want to seem like I know better or 'owt, because I sure as hell don't - I'm stoked that there's been so much consideration and work put into a tiny aspect of DayZ. -

The only thing that annoys me about the MP for Arma2 now is there's essentially zero CTI's running anymore. CTI used to be my bread and butter ;( -
I think the general consensus is that DayZ needs less high-tier military-grade weapons, and more typical weapons you'd expect to find in rural areas and that. Not only that, but the current missile launcher in the game takes up too many spots to really bother picking up.

Does anybody know if they plan to re-design the explosions at all? I've always found the way vehicles and ordanance explode in vanilla ArmA2 to be very unsatisfying, and I'm not really sure how much work has been put into this Real Virtuality 2.5 engine they plan to use for the SA..

Whilst I can sympathise for you in the sense that I too am dying to get a progress update, you have to appreciate that they've got the end of the year to get the initial standalone out by... they're gonna be working hard with little time to get involved in the forums, and they're all very community-orientated anyway - I don't see why you're worried!

Out of curiosity, where did you hear this? I like to think I've been following the progress of the SA quite closely, but I've not read any mention of specific diseases like Cholera and Typhoid...

I would also like to see DayZ have the option to take place in an urban setting too - however, I'm not entirely sure (not being a map-maker, or anything) on how easy it would be to design a massive map, with enterable multi-story buildings?

No, of course you don't; but what I really mean is that you can see the game and it's mechanics, see how it ticks, and from that you can decide if you want to make the investment of buying ArmA2 for the full-on experience. IMHO, ArmA2 and any other part of the OFP franchaise is well worth buying on it's own. -
