Flares and multi-colored chemlights should be priority. We're 2 days(?) into release and I've not yet had a single flare/chemlight party. The Party Wolf inside me is vommiting at the idea of this not happening for another 2 days. pls fix devteem thx
-
My first legit encounter was teaching someone how to use the flashlight. But moments after, I saw someone running around Cherno with their flashlight advertising his location. I then creeped after him singing my version of Gold, by Spandeu Ballet, and then proceeded to axe-murder. Just for the lols.

Unfortunately I fear my teaser note for "The Adventures of the Girthmaster General" may have deleted in the latest data purge. Fear not, a copy will be making it's way onto the db soon.

Possible troll.

Report this on the feedback tracker - sounds like a pretty savage bug! They'll be able to address it on there:- http://feedback.dayzgame.com/bug_report_page.php

I'm sorry but bollocks - this is a terrible idea. You're completely insinuating that banditry and KoS is something that needs a remedy. False. The only thing that needs addressing is how people treat KoS as the initial response to a human interaction. KoS and Banditry cannot be punished by resulting in a higher aggro range/duration as, even though they suck in my opinion, they're still a core asset to the diverse experience that is DayZ.

Don't go to Green Mountain. I say again, DO NOT GO TO GRE-

True, but at the same time, it advertises and teaches people who have never done it before how to. Double-edged sword.

If there was a rep system... Fuckin' minus 1.

If you're looking for an unbiased answer, you've made a terrible move. Look at the streams and YouTube videos that SA release is generating. From there, make your own informed decision based on that alongside the reviews and stickies throughout the forums listing the known bugs.

Have you logged these problems onto the Community Bug Tracker? http://feedback.dayzgame.com/

Sassy retorts = u angry bro

You may be set to LAN. Read the stickies - it's what they're there for.

Why do people always think they're entitled to discounts for reasons that don't deserve a discount? It's fucking mental.

Gotta find a can opener champ. There are plans to use knives and other sharp implements to open them down the line, I believe.

Regarding the people complaining.
mzltv replied to ProfessorShanks (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
Whilst I agree with you on the matter of people complaining about faster zombies, and general changes that are now visible when comparing mod to standalone, these forums are still here for discussion, so threads about "What do you hope to see in the next hotfix?" and "DayZ Standalone. My first impressions!" are still completely fair game. Not to mention Weed's above point of how logging the bugs is critical to the evolution of DayZ - but these should be logged on the tracker for the best results! -
Things you want to see in SA updates first.
mzltv replied to ZlobaRUS54's topic in General Discussion
There's no point looking at tents yet. There's likely to be plenty of data wipes and stuff, so it'd be a bit of a pointless mechanic at this point in time. I feel like the food/drink systems could do with a fiddle, as the next major build fix. Obviously all the little bugs will be dealt with as they come in, but yeah, it's a survival game really so the status/indicator systems are core to the experience. -
I'm assuming it corresponds with seasonal daylight hours too? I played on a UK server last night when I got in from work and it was pitch black... Not that night is terrible or anything... I actually had a good hour or two in the dark last night and enjoyed myself!

KICHIKICHIKICHIKICHIKICHIKICHI has a point. As it develops, the price will go up - and personally, I think that if you do wait till then, you'll be kicking yourself physically and emotionally in the balls, crying "WHY DIDN'T I ACQUIRE DAYZ WHEN IT WAS £20. WHY!?" You'll raise your hands to the sky, rain will pour, and a hovering camera will pan up slowly. I can't recommend it enough; bugs included.

My evening (a copy from my thread over at Musty) Testing DayZ SA was one thing. Playing in a 50/50 server tonight was a brand new experience however. My evening involved a comical murder in Cherno. As I was creeping through Cherno, I saw someone was sprinting through with a torch - lighting everything up in bold white hues. I saw this and took this as a sign that someone needs Survival 101. I followed him, and gently sang a slower version of Gold by Spandeu Ballet over Direct. He looked around and panicked, fleeing into the Cherno hospital. He ran into me and my splitting axe, and that was the end of (what I can expect was) one of his first lives on DayZ Standalone. After that, I met a new guy and gave him a 101 on DayZ, as he didn't really have a clue. We chased after a survivor and asked him to be handcuffed to test it all out. He agreed, and was handcuffed. I took all his possessions, including a nice pristine pistol and shot him dead - disarmed and captive. I then proceeded to turn and shoot the chap I had guided thus far. It was fun to kill anything that moved during the testing stage, but now it's real people, I had an overwhelming sense of "Wow, I'm a complete cunt", and have now decided that those 3 people were the first and last people I shall kill in SA (unless fired on, obvs) If you're reading this, chaps that I needlessly murdered this evening - then I apologise.

Sounds like a nasty skin condition...

True story - Rossums prefers Skype chats about SA than SA.
