There was only one rough release date announced, and that was before they re-assessed the development and decided to customize the Real Virtuality engine, so it was appropriate for what DayZ required. No official source specified April this year. If you choose to believe what someone spouts onto a forum, then that's your call.

I played Domination on Arma2 a couple of days ago, and a guy got into my chopper with an AA-12. I judged him. I judged him good.

I thought the whole Chernarus+ project revolved more around additional locations than reworking old layouts. That's quality though! I was always wondering just how different Chernarus will feel once SA is released, and if I'll get bored of it quickly like I did with Chernarus on the mod.

Yeah, probably a bad choice of words on my part. No need to be a wanker about it. What I meant to put across was that they put time aside to focus on having the foundations of the game appropriate for the release of a full game, as opposed to the mod.

Complete opposite, actually. He's died down on Twitter quite a lot recently, and it's not as if he dedicates a large portion of his day to posting social media updates. I'd be thankful man. They said they were going to release for Christmas 2012, and I bet they're so happy they didn't (I know I am!) They're developing DayZ from the ground up, with a complete engine re-adaptation specifically for the sole purpose that DayZ has... nd that has only just recently been finished, in terms of development.

Just look back at the absolute shitstorm that graced this forum when the thermal sights were removed from the L85 or whatever the gun was... Thermal vision/laser designators should never be included (personally, just so I never have to see the forums bust a tit again) Also, bear in mind that there is a lot of focus on weapons at the moment and reducing them down to a less military grade ... -

Rest assured in the knowledge he won't have a succesful server if he respects his user base that much. I'd recommend throwing up a middle finger in that direction, and finding a private hive/public server that is well trusted. Look around on the Private HIVE Discussion subforum; there's loads of recommended and trusted servers. -

I'd hope it would bear a negetive trait to it though... Like, you can eat it whatever your humanity is, although it will give you the shakes really badly if you it/eat too much of it. That seems to be a popular notion of cannibalism (if it's true or not, I don't know..)

Personally, I hate the whole 'end of the level = a boss' kind of thing so I'm kind of against that from the off. Additionally, the re-animation into zombies would be pretty pointless, seeing as you'd be playing on a 225km2 map. Screw all that walking... I feel that as opposed to an end-game, perhaps some kind of 'random event' generator would keep people entertained, as opposed to constantly searching for the end game..

What I'm really looking forward to is the potential social interactions that all these features will be able to offer. Here's an example:- Can anyone see this actually happening? Can you imagine a gameplay style coming into mass effect where people aren't just unloading magazine after magazine? It's definitely one of my larger concerns for the game...
