Sorry, posted before I read your response Fraggs. I still don't understand the whole child zombie thing being an issue though - in films they've portrayed child zombies on multiple occassions... Films are rated much like video games, and plenty of kids get exposure to R18 films and video games. Rating is more a guidance these days than a requirement.

I wasn't sure this was New Thread-worthy, so I've decided to announce it here. Upon the release of the standalone build, which includes note-making, I shall beggining my 7-issue special of The Girthmaster-General Adventures. Due to me only writing one copy of each issue, my fingers are crossed that through infamy, issues of The Girthmaster-General Adventures will be the equivilent of diamonds, in term of trade. Watch this space.

I like it, but I'd like it so not everyone was carrying an ID card. Maybe it's like, an item you start with and then you can choose to chuck it or something? edit; also, if an ID card has your D.O.B. on it, you won't need the age field ;) but I know what you mean - maybe it could indicate the amount of time you've survived! -

Not so much in the terms 'Screw the Mod' but I've not played it for about 5 or 6 months; neither do I intend to. Don't want the game to get old on me before I've picked up the Standalone.

I get the feeling the majority will prefer a server with custom scripts, seeing as there isn't many features/entertaining events to the vanilla mod. However, there's still a die-hard group who are vanilla purely. I personally would say you'd get more people with additional qualitites, but it all comes down to what said qualities were.

You could try fiddling about with your screen resolution to, but there isn't any direct and simple way to change the current HUD.

You heard incorrect - don't believe anything you hear unless it's directly from Rocket's mouth/a devblog; there's too much of a rumour-mill going with DayZ. But yes, it's extremely worth it. If you've never played DayZ before, I'd recommend it highly. Not to mention ArmA2 is awesome in itself.

I was watching a film on Saturday night with my girlfriend, when I briefly scrolled through Twitter until I saw Rocket's tweet about the DevBlog. Immedietely stuck my headphones in and watched the DevBlog - and it was completely worth pissing her off. It's looking like it's come on so much. Love that there's some form of hold-up system now where you can disarm and restrain. Gonna be so awesome. Sad that it's still not ready for release, but it's looking well worth the wait.

I'm genuinely starting to think some people need to get lives outside of DayZ. The level of entitlement and debt that some sport seems to only be getting increasingly outrageous. It's a game that's under development. I'm stoked for it just as much as you lot are, but to sit there and speculate that the guy who started it all is somehow getting a sado-massachistic(sp?) kick out of holding it back is just thoroughly ridiculous. DayZ will be released when DayZ is released. Follow the progress of it by all means, but christ... Go play another game until it's released!
