Hi guys, Having a bit of trouble. DayZ plays audio through my headset fine, but when I log onto Teamspeak, the audio from DayZ cuts out completely in my headphone. Seems like connecting to TS causes the audio to drop out. Very perculiar, even more annoying. Any ideas?

Personally, I think Dean should definitely put the Alpha price up to £60, like Planetary Annihilation did. That way, you only get the people who really want to be involved in the Alpha Stage. Otherwise, no-one will pay that much for an Alpha. -
People will not attack you for a Lee Enfield. Most people won't even pick up a Lee Enfield if it's on the floor, let alone attack someone for one.

I just watched the videos; can happily say that I'm very pleased with how it's looking. There's still a world of work to be done, but it's looking sensational already. I'm loving the detail of some of the animation, and generally just how different the game looks like it handles now. So excited for Alpha. -

Optimum Numbers for Zombie Survival

4/5 is an ideal number, in my book. Whilst it does make you a little more obvious, it also allows you to scavenge areas quicker, combine resources efficiently and most of all, have a good number of people to efficiently execute tactics and maneuvers when caught in bandit fire, or organising a town scavenge run or whatever. Anything less, it just feels like there'd not be enough cover to perform the day-to-day DayZ routines. -

When are we expecting to see some kind of update/DayZ presentation at Gamescom? Has Gamescom even started? What the hell is a Gamescom and where do I buy one?

1. It is Sandbox. The original mod doesn't have much to do but other sub-mods of DayZ offer side missions, bandit/hero AI, base building, etc... You should play around with all the sub-mods to find which one is tailored for your preference! 2. As far as I know, it's only MP (unless someone has converted it to SP) 3. As previously said, some AI heros/bandits/survivors are on the sub-mods/customized servers but you shouldn't find any in DayZ Vanilla. 4. Currently not all buildings are enterable but there are a bunch you can enter. You'll learn which ones they are by playing the game and getting to know the cities. In DayZ Standalone, however, most buildings should be enterable. Hopefully that answers your questions!

Sorry, I'm extremely slow in the mornings, so let's say I'm leaving Cherno east-wards, and I've got a bunch of zombies after me... Zombies chasing me despawn. Attach to the nearest building (in this case, a building in the East) So in theory, if a new player enters the city from the West, the zombies will spawn on the other side of the city? -

That went over my head, but the idea that cities and towns can be cleared is VERY enticing. That's gonna make for some epic gameplay, especially when you guys get your base building coding down. Yet again, more impressive news from Aftermath. -

I've always felt that first person felt a bit too tunnel-vision-like, so I usually run about in third person unless I'm in combat. Assuming there is some way we can play with the FOV on the Standalone, then I would be happy for third person to be done away with. It would get rid of a lot of people who use third person just to extend their vision. Just something people would have to re-adjust to. -

What I've generally picked up, is that integrated graphics tend to be a big no-no (in regards to these threads, anyway) If you can get the game running, then I'd expect we're talking low video settings with low FPS.

The problem with DayZ is that there's such a focus on depth and particularities that there could be no end in sight, in terms of development and content. Perhaps this is an example of where we should just settle for non-specific items... such as a splint for an animal's broken bone, or something as broadly named as 'Painkillers'.
