Would you? Who knows. I do know that people shoot on site to protect drug crops or governments shoot on site to protect certain facilities. I think ultimately in a primitive state, survival is what matters most. At first I dont think it would be thaylt bad. But eventually when your Hunter ng down precious food and ammuniton to extend your lively hood, a person would do whatever it takes to preserve their livelyhood. We like to think we are an advanced species but when society support systems break down and your government no longer provides for you people will do terribletterriblethings and desentize themselves and gradually be willing to more heinous things.

THERE'S A STAND ALONE?????

This happened about 25 minutes ago on a private hive server I frequent. I play as a bandit on there, but don't actively hunt out players or even kill them unless I have to or they have something I need. It's pretty common for me to befriend players asking to team up on side chat. So, yesterday a fellow is asking to team up. I agree, we meet up. I'm a little nervous around him because I have an M24 and he has jack squat. Anyway I take off my Ghillie and give it to him and try to chat him on skype to get a little more human touch to stop him from back stabbing me. He agrees, adds me. Turns out he's a younger fellow, about 13 or 14 and is Russian. His English isn't that great and at times communication is an issue. But whatever, I rocked on with it. We're rolling around, turned the town of Berezino into a war zone. I killed 10 players that shot at me. It was a great time. He died once, but he spawned in Solnichny so he got back into the fight relatively quick. We also rounded up a vehicle and had some decent weapons. He was rocking the DMR, I had M24 and a MK 48 in my bag. Good day of surviving. Today he writes me, says he needs me to log on and help him. I call him up on skype and get the low down. He's down to 900 blood, can't see and is in Gorka. No worries I'm near by. I make way for him and he manages to get slayed by zombies right as I pull up (He's standing up straight in the middle of town...not hiding). Little aggravating but whatever. He spawns near Cherno. He keeps on about how he wants me to pick him up in Cherno. I'm a ballsy player and have made some less than good decisions but...drive...in Cherno? Yeah not trying to get a volley of makarov fire. I tell him no and he needs to run towards Balota and i'll meet him somewhere on that side of Cherno, out of the city. After about 15 minutes of telling him I'm not driving in Cherno, he finally agrees. I pick him up, next stop...Zelengorsk. There's some ok places to loot some tires, scrap metal, etc to maintain my vehicle. Along the way...he's trying to get me to stop for a bicycle that we saw. I told him he'd never be able to keep up and he has no protection on a bike. He still won't shut up about it. Finally we get to Zelengorsk. We run into a little utility loot area and start looking for parts...when a truck pulls up...another player. I tell him to SHHH and listen there's a player. He is oblivious and says HEY! I FOUND A VEHICLE FOR ME! Not knowing it's another players. I tell him again, it's a player...we need to kill him. We're exposed and he is a direct threat. Kid runs to vehicle....I face palm. I peak a corner and see this player, in normal skin, taking aim at my partner with a shotgun. At this point I open hell fire with the MK 48 and wax him. Safe for now. But it's at this point I'm furious with my partner. I try to explain his mistakes to him and tell him he's going to get us both killed. It's at this point he tells me, "lets go to airfield or stary for some action". Are you shitting me? You did not just get the action we had? I realize that this little turd is more of a threat to my existence than the survivor I just thrashed. So I tell him hey, I'll be right back. I hang up and block him on Skype. I put one round in his chest with my MK48 so I know he's still alive but unconscious I drag his body next the the vehicle of the slain survivor. I tell him hey, bro, sorry it has to be like this but you're too dangerous to my safety. I step behind a wall, chuck a M67 Frag grenade at the vehicle, and his unconscious body. I get the message that he was killed and I hear the vehicle explode, ensuring I will not be followed by that vehicle. It was a tough choice but in the end, it's all about my preservation.

I've been playing here for a few weeks now and was actually playing when those two guys above got banned. I don't know what happened, but i've never had an issue here. I love this server.

Hey, it's a time frame at least. That'll give all the animators plenty of time to smooth out the zombies, smooth out the pathing, and do some final tweaks before rocket gets back from Everest. Then rocket can take our money and we start melting zombie faces. Glad to hear it although I don't know why that had to be such a big secret up until now.

Just posting here for future reference. I'm an EU player too. I'm in Afghanistan right now but i'll be returning back in a few weeks. Looking to kick up Day Z after about 30 or 40 pints :)

Day Z is a tricky animal, because it's so CPU heavy and it's pretty buggy. I would venture a guess of you should be able to crack about 25-30 FPS in the most intensive areas no problem. While recording, i'm not sure. I hear FRAPS will rape your frame rate when recording ArmA II engine. I hear Dxtory is the way to go if you wish to record the game play.

You'll be rocking just fine with that build. I was looking at 650 Watt Corsair PSU that was roughly $50 on Newegg today. I would look at maximizing airflow through your rig, especially if you OC anything. You shouldn't struggle with anything other than maybe BF3, Far Cry, and Cyrsis 3 on ultra settings.
