I feel your pain. I wouldn't mind being able to choose where at on the shore to spawn so you can at least spawn in a little closer to friends. I haven't heard any mention of it, but I think there will be a pretty big plea from the casual gaming community who only play 1-2 hours at a time for some sort of system like that. -

The unknown is scary. Once you know what to expect and you know what's around every corner, there's not surprise. No penalty for death because you know how to quickly acquire new gear and carry on. Fear is simply a way for the human body to heighten it's senses to help self preservation. Once you know nothing bad is going to happen and if it does, you can quickly return to the same state the body's need for fear is over and it becomes another game. Walk through a haunted house. The first time is always where you jump the most. It's not the game's fault, you've just become desensitized to it. I've found not over doing it helps. Take a break for a week or two. Once you climb back on you'll get a little bit of that rush. Not to the extent previously, but it comes back a little bit.

In short, food expiration dates, chewing, and pooping. Riiight. -
I like the idea, however I think I would enjoy less frequent crash sites with more variety. Stumbling upon a crash site should be something special and not common. Anyone who's played the game a week or so has more than likely seen or stumbled upon a crash site. Once you know where to look for them it becomes a pretty common ordeal to find them. Would keep it special if it was something that had a less than 1% chance of spawning on a given day. Back on topic, a C130 crash would probably draw a lot of attention, so maybe lots more zombies in that area? Or as I've stated a few other times, i'm a huge fan of server side events. Have a plane crash one day with some special weapons or equipment not normally found in your usual loot piles. Over all I like the variety of your idea, I'm not sure I want more frequency in crashes though.

I'm stoked at the prospect of having to actually clear a house out, have a guy on the door pulling security, or constantly checking your 6. Again, I'm sure they'll have some sort of balance before it even reaches Alpha. I've been pretty impressed with the dev blogs. Also have to respect the Dev team's bold stance to not just push an incomplete product out there. I think the guys attention to detail and desire perfection will prevail and this won't be a huge issue. They'll figure out the correct balance to give us the excitement and challenge without pushing it over the edge. -
Some men just want to see the world burn. I think OP should comment on all suggestions with, "Yeah, and add fire."

Haha, at least you were waxed by a zombie. There are far worse ways to go. Swinging door, falling out of a deer stand, riding a bike, hacker making it rain tanks on your head. You could try a game that offers God Mode if you don't like to die.

Not using scripts or hacks. Typically global bans are for running something your not suppose to. Very rarely does a global ban happen for the hell of it. If it does, you can appeal your case with BattleEye.

Concur, it's a deathmatch game with zombie obstacles at the moment. I like the PVP, don't get me wrong. But the zombies are nothing more than an obstacle at the moment. A better environment and a credible zombie threat and I think you've got one of the most complete and unique games to date. -

I must admit, I opened this threat expecting to see another PVP sucks, give us a PVE option. From the dev blogs i've watched, it seems the intent is to make the zombies more of a factor. I really like the idea of being able to hold up in a house or fortify Devil's Castle and hold it off. It also would make for a REAL pvp event when a group of survivors wants the castle, nice the sniper on the hill by Elektro. Good recommendation...beans for you good sir. -
I don't see it being very useful. Why hobble around on crutches or wheel chair when you've got morphine or some other means to heal yourself to a 100%. I see this as not much more than a novelty idea that would be funny once or twice. However, expanding on the crutches, I would like the idea of making a hasty cane or crutch out of a branch or something for those moments when you fall out of a tree stand or get hit by a car. So if you're 10 km off from the nearest hospital, it's not the long miserable crawl all by your lonesome.

Stay away from Elektro and Cherno. Find people who are looking for people to join their groups via the forums. Never trust anyone in game you don't know. Unfortunately it's just the nature of the game. -
Flamer thrower, that doesn't really kill zombies. It just sets them on fire and allows for a new set of problems!

I like the idea of Zombies in crashed vehicles, implying that the owner of the previous vehicle had been killed and turned. Also taking the proper precaution to check your vehicles before you hop in and drive off because there might be a Zed hiding on the floor board is a pretty nice concept. However, zombies driving....yeah a bit much. I know I've always been a fan of random events happening on servers. Say a military failed offensive so you have a few military vehicles and military zombies in random places, the random car crashes seems like an ok idea. Just this is suppose to be a bit after day 0 so not sure how plausible that really is.

Oh great, Zombie bears. If they add zombie bears, the game will be unplayable. Everyone will be busy cleaning the feces out of there underpants because of the uncontrollable bowel movements from unimaginable fear. -
