  1. Trust me it's painful to have to say, but just be aware that it can happen at any moment at any time in any server. It's gonna continue to be like this until something major is done to fix it. Just be ready to abort and disconnect very fast. You will have a decent chance of saving yourself.

    WELL HIDDEN TRUCK :)

Haha I'm more surprised you didn't get shot in the face two seconds after examining the truck! I had a great idea of stashing my offroad truck in the middle of a busy road, maybe near Cherno, and sit back with a sniper rifle in the treeline B)

    User-made safe server list

Besides, say this did work and people started giving you "safe" servers. First of all, there's no way to really identify a safe server. Maybe hackers weren't on at the time the person was playing? I've been in a few servers I could recommend, but I wouldn't call any of them "safe" at this point. Also, if you posted that list the servers wouldn't be safe anymore. That you can pretty much guarantee.
  4. I agree! I'd love for the interface to take some inspiration from Resident Evil. More so the older styled inventory, but that's just my preference. Having a separate menu screen that everyone goes to to access their supplies wouldn't work for a game like this though.

    This game ...

It's also fun to be able to "grow" with the game. I mean last week we were able to respawn whenever we want to get a prime starting location for looting. It's a fun game and there are problems, but don't be bitter, people should know what they're getting themselves into.

    Can't see objects

Could be some sort of graphical issue on your end with your PC? I'd just exit the game and re enter to see if it is fixed. If not then restart your computer or play around with the settings. If it was working fine before then that should probably fix your problem.

    Hero Moment

Cool! I just have to say that if you run into the graphical bug (since it makes traveling through Berezino really annoying), just point your character in the direction of it, disconnect fully from the server, and then re enter the server. I tried it out yesterday and it fixed the problem.
  8. Cold blooded. btw, is it "people die when they are killed." or "people die if they are killed." :P

    us 853 being hacked

Yep, happens all the time apparently. I was in US 362 today and as I was running towards Cherno from the west I got teleported back to the edge of the map in the west. Fortunately for me it was a friendly hacker (oxymoron?) who was trying to use his powers to defeat the other hackers in the server. He dropped an M4 for me and we went to the hackers lair on the edge of the map. It was a blocked off arena just like the one you have in your screenshot. Anyway long story short we didn't find them, he spawned a helecopter, we flew around, I got killed, and everyone got kicked due to hacking on the server. Just something you gotta deal with and try your best to abort quickly if you're teleported and find a new server.
  10. This is the part where you're supposed to create the fun for yourself! Get a crew together and take over a town, find a vehicle and run people over, run around with a hatchet and freak people out. If you want to just pvp Cherno, Elektro, Novy Sobor, and NW airfield are good places to start. Just experiment with the game and see what you come up with.

    Computers

I play DayZ on my laptop and here are some of my specs: 1 x Processor (Intel® Core™ i7-2720QM Mobile Processor (4x 2.20GHz/6MB L3 Cache))) 1 x Memory (8GB [4GB x 2] 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM [Laptop Memory] - Corsair or Major Brand)) 1 x Video Card (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M 1.5GB GDDR5 Video [P151HM1])) So, in short, yes you'll be able to play the game perfectly fine with your set up. My laptop is able to play it on max settings with no hang up due to hardware problems. As long as your laptop is plugged in or on a high power setting it'll run very smooth. A bit of advice though, you should really invest in a nice laptop cooler if you intend to game or use high end programs for extended use.
