I agree this needs to be fixed. Should be random and it should be based on where the bullet hits and how much damage the bullet does to cause the item(s) to degrade. If everything is fucking ruined what is the point of looting people anymore or even having loot to begin with for that matter?

Hold ups may definitely become more common as opposed to killing someone on site as to not ruin precious items. This seems to be a purposely implemented feature by the devs.

The only thing that really bothers me about the loot system is the amount of places that you can go into that never spawn anything and the ones that do its always the same fucking items: Gloves, hats, spraypaint and hammers. As if these would be the most common items laying around everywhere. It makes no sense.

Learn to train yourself not to get mad. I actually get more made playing Call of Duty which is stupid, but I get so fucking frustrated. With DayZ just assume you will die and lose everything no matter what. Take your time and be careful - it is part of the risk vs reward. Takes a long time to condition yourself not to spaz when you get raped in game. Just remember most of the fun is the experience gearing up. Try every life playing like a new person with different personalities or stories.

Sounds like he may have been ghosting. When someone logs in it may look like they are coming through a wall or appearing out of nowhere. He knew where you were so he logged out and logged into another server and got in a position where you were. Then he just logged back into the server right beside you and was probably partially in the wall (this happens sometimes) and then killed you.

@OP, What the fuck do you want us to do about it? This shit happens to everyone. There are dozens of posts regarding this stuff. I fell 5 feet and died instantly fully geared a few weeks ago. I didn't come on the forums and moan about it. If you find a bug post it in the bugs section dont whine about it in a non constructive manner. You are preaching to the choir.

I for one thought the OP's main post was negative and all conspiracy theory. Of course there are nagging issues (100s of them) and in the month or so that the SA has been out we have already seen updates. This shit takes time and as the humble OP stated; he has worked on dev teams before. He should know that progress in pushing a title forward takes time and man power. The post by the OP is completely biased and the reasoning is unfounded.

How is this a gamebreaker? I use steam voicechat all the time. It's part of the game.

This is the least funny shit I have seen this week.

I joined a server the other day, can't remember which one, but this made me chuckle (Which by the way the server can be removed for doing this as I understand). Looped announcement came up from the admin upon login: "Do not kill someone without talking to them first/NO KOS it is a bannable offense Do not steal from other players Do not kill new spawns If you do not listen to the rules you will be kicked/banned."

I am at work and this made me laugh.

Who cares what they call me after I kill them. Most of the time they are probably pissed. I would just laugh.

See I thought of this too, which made me laugh even more. "What if the admins are totally trolling." But personally I wouldn't want to risk my server getting this reported simply because it was in the message of the day and not actually enforced. Btw, that is hilarious. Have beans.

Yeah that isn't a server it is an issue with the hive or something.
