  1. I really like this game and I see a lot of potential with it. But you are out of your mind if you think that I will pay for an unfinished product. Hats off to all of you consumers who are encouraging a system that allows corporations to charge for a game 3 times before it is actually released. Really, amazing.

    The Sad Realization.

True. But there is a difference between the frequency in which players experience hackers from game to game. I have played WOW for many years and only experienced one weird event, and sometimes you hear stories from other people, but those come by very rarely. On the other hand, in DayZ MOD, it's a multiple times a day event. I agree with you that the Standalone probably won't fix it fully, but if Rocket and BI do a good job, it can at least slash the hacker population by a lot. It would also be nice if they ran servers from their facility, instead of giving ownership of server to the public.

    The Sad Realization.

I believe it is pretty clear that the OP wrote what you call a 'novel' in an attempt to get enough support so that something is done to improve the game in the current state. Yes, alpha implies in development, and consequently it could be in any state, stable or unstable, and in an ever changing state. That's how DayZ was in the early days. It had its problems, but it was playable for the most part. Things would get broken, and the more crucial bugs would eventually get fixed. Updates came about very frequenrly. But it is not like that anymore. The last two updates, which by the way took quite a long time, fixed nearly nothing (graphical glitches, vehicles, teleports, etc). I believe it is pretty clear that the MOD is being left behind, and given no attention anymore because of the standalone efforts, which by the way, I am really looking forward to. However, I also believe it would be smart for Rocket and BI to at least bring the MOD to a more stable state, fix some of the more crucial issues, and that way people can play until the standalone comes out. Alpha or not, the game does create an impression on people. Most game companies don't release Alpha to the public, and that's because it can generate negative feedback on the game. So the OP is probably trying to appeal to Rocket so that the game he likes so much doesn't suffer from negative impressions. I see no problem with this post. It is a valid post.

[1.5.7] Keep Spawning at the Coast

I have the latest beta patch (95883) and the latest game code (1.7.2.5) and this teleporting still happens. Can anybody confirm if the suggestion from Nephireal's post works?

    Backpack Items Missing.

I have had the same issue. And I have lost two L85s this way so far. I log on and the weapon is simply not there anymore.

Experienced teleport hack second time today

Well, the devs now know the server where it happened and time, so hopefully, if the server code is doing a good job at logging events, they might be able to trace the logs and perhaps have an insight as to what happened. Video in this case is useless to devs.
  7. This time it happened at NZ 25 around 11:05pm PST time. Got teleported somewhere between Novy and Guglovo. Asterix
  8. As the title says, there has been a teleport hack that happened at US 604 at 7:45pm PST. I and some other players got teleported somewhere near Vybor. Asterix
