  1. At first I thought he was trolling as I saw the 500 meters at the bottom and only a guy there. Then I saw the nearly invisible slim female model.
  2. Clearly that is going to make shooting everyone on sight impossible! (Sarcasm for those who can't figure it out.)
  3. Even still, beyond the use of your light. Be sure to be careful. As I've often found the flashlight likes to go through walls. So while you may think you have it contained it may be randomly illuminating past the wall resulting in you being found.
  4. Some people have all the luck. But no seriously, glad we have a video of someone as a crow. Were you able to use direct communication over it? If you were, I think I'd like to be a crow and lead people to much needed gear. xD
  5. Well from all that I read, it seems that people who are upset over this are people who seem to be talking as if this game was MEANT to be a shooter between people. So what the female skin is smaller. It's pixels, if it is that big of an issue for you then use the female skin. I've been surviving just fine with a male skin. And as I'm sure many people will attest who gives a shit if you're some pixels smaller most of the time if a bandit wants you. They'll have seen you before you see them. If it's a one on one firefight, and if you miss. Then you miss. Gear isn't that hard to come by in this game. Especially people with friends and groups. Nothing was broken by this addition. =. = I mean if this 'was' a Team Deathmatch game. Then I would say yeah this is a broken feature. I think the majority of people who are upset over this are the people who are out to kill others. Because it means that they 'might' have a harder time sniping someone at range who obviously didn't have a chance to hit back. Otherwise if you're face to face I'm sure you can aim. If you can hit the sharp turning, juking zombies. I'm sure you can manage to hit a slightly smaller frame.

    Infinite Health

I can see why they had to lock down the GD awhile back. You do now there are OTHER forums. Ones that are FOR bug reporting?
  7. - When you go camping and refuse to use the wood readily available. You insist upon going into nearby towns and villages for it. - When you start to only recognize Coke, Pepsi, and Mountain Dew as acceptable drinks. - When you're afraid of going to sleep because you are afraid when you wake up you'll be almost dead from starvation, thirst, or both. - When you don't wanna swim anymore because you're afraid you'll lose something during the swim. - When you start to compare the actual night outside to if this is Day Z dark.
  8. Oh' date=' being a bandit is fine. Being an asshole isn't. It's clear here that the latter is what's being so vocal. Crashing this party serves absolutely no purpose. Letting it go on nets you more loot to do whatever you want with. You can walk in and take some more ammo and go to another server and kill all the noobs you can find. It's sad that these assholes are here to ruin yet another good thing. [/quote'] Yes they might be a bit mean spirited and attempting to stop a good thing. But to call them assholes and such gets us no where. ^^ I just hope that with time they start to see there is more to the mod than a TDM and such. Until then. I'm good to sit in the Shadows and watch the computer through my Scope.

    Day Z...WAS.....fun

This is just that, it is an Alpha. This is the phase were we see how people are going to really start behaving. It might all well up and change all of a sudden. Who knows. But until then I do love Day Z. I love it to death and then back from the grave. It's the zombie game even if it is just a 'mod' I've been so desperately wanting. I have no problem lurking in the shadows as I watch the community through the eyes of a scope. x3
  10. I've been out there with my two friends. And so far against better judgement went out of our way and exposing ourselves from our hiding spot to kill off a horde after a guy, we don't fire first, and I give blood transfusions out as I find people who need them. My character hour wise has added up to about a week's worth of life. And I've only been out to do good. I'm sad they removed the humanity system for one reason. I was going for a high score in humanity. I was up to 6,000 Humanity when he got rid of the number. :c (( It's a lot harder to get it up than down. xD )) Lol. I'll be sure to PM you once I get this thing running. I'm not saying that being a bandit is wrong. But it's more so their mindset. Earlier I heard a guy say he gunned a guy down because he heard their clan shot on sight. He said the guy told him Congrats and such for having managed the kill, and it wasn't: "You noob. My clan will be on you like flies on shit." It was a good sporting attitude about it. Which is wonderful. Even if it was a shot on sight the two of them could still be respectful people about it after.

    Day Z...WAS.....fun

Well as in another thread about trying to in a sense set up a depo at the NW Airfield. The only people he seemed to have popping up were people who were talking of ruining and that. And while I haven't shot anyone who didn't shoot one of my friends or caused problems for us. (Guy drug zombies through us. Then tried to finish us up on a roof. ) I've been making sure those I do run into, I gave them that chance. I've run into... well I suppose 3 bandits who made life hard. But then again I've become so paranoid of snipers that I'm often far off the beaten trail and snaking around though the paths I keep. Either way, I'm sure as things are improved in the game or Rocket finds a system that actually works for Humanity and what not that more and more people find that working together is a good thing, or for the very least get bored of the TDM mindset.
  13. Hmmm, well it has been said already but. You're only going to get getting the general bad portion of the community because the good tends to be bitched at. For the majority the amount of people who are thinking to 'crash' the party as I believe I saw stated either generally are playing to be trolls or they have gone too long without a CoD Deathmatch. Though I believe the major reason that this is being shot down is the fact that an ACTUAL organized group of quite reasonable size would be a lot more of a task for bandits to take out. They would need an equally large group, or some infiltration. I'd be quite intrigued to see this come to realization. Because as they say you attract a lot more with you're using something sweet than something sour. Don't lose your faith in this, just because you have people who speak ill of it and proclaim how easily it can be wrecked. Don't stop. If you get the group big enough and set up enough defenses. Then let them come. At the very least you'll be servicing the whole player base then, those who want to team up and survive. To form a community, and those who are looking for the TDM type of gameplay they get from CoD and BF. Because truth be told, I'd take the players who want a more casual experience over those who enjoy thinking that just because someone is going for something good they can turn it into a deathmatch and shut it down. Because as I saw in the thread you saw that picture it was only one guy doing the previous piles. TL;DR Don't lose faith in this. This is what the community needs, a positive goal. Letting the people who are vocal about wanting to ruin it stop the idea. Stops the community from potentially taking a REAL step in the direction of perhaps more organized and safer play for those who want to team up and survive.
  14. It's good to see a clan such as that. I don't agree with clans SoS. I mean most of the time they are so set up that it really shouldn't matter who they come across. Ya got friend they got gear. You'll get it back. Pixels is Pixels. But I do tip my hat to them for being good sports about it.
  15. Well, with now a DMR on his back, he's probably a pretty tempting target. Like I know I have a DMR on my back, an M4A1 in my Alice Pack. A G17. 120 rounds for my DMR, and 4 clips of G17 ammo. So I grow a tad more weary of people. They see the pack and gun and don't need to know more than that.
  16. Well, I mean if you don't wanna lone wolf it. I mean you can always do the tried and true try to find someone friendly. I tend to help people out like that if they need it. All the same it's probably safest to do the respawn thing and run back to your body.

    Bandit for self-defense

Well it seems that your first mistake here was asking if there were friendlies. Probably would have been better to scope it out and see if you couldn't get the drop on anyone inside. But as people are saying, from the sounds of it you took a lot more than 30 seconds. As I'd figure it was probably 4 seconds to get your bearings and get out, 10 seconds to get the distance away that you felt safe. Possibly 15. The bandage animation is like 4 seconds. The return was probably more stealthy and planned out so 25 seconds. But this is all like best case scenario. In all reality it was probably a few minutes til you put him down for him shooting you.
  18. Well your chances of help aren't looking good. As you felt THIS was the correct forum for this question. So I'm already doubting you'll be able to manage having anything of the sort under your control.

So, I heard you guys like STUFF...

For a guy doing that by himself and making piles for easy looting. As long as it wasn't some type of lay out bait and snipe those trying for it. Is pretty great to hear. Someone actually out to kind of be a help dragging everything to one spot really. Now then, all we need is a large friendly force to sit up at NW Airfield keep it all cleaned out and in piles for people to stop in and pick up. The friendly aspect of Day Z, oh the possibilities 'could' be endless.

    dayz_code.pbo

When I attempt to join a server after having updated with the new Mod version I am getting told that, that file is not signed to a key accepted by the server. To play on this server delete or replace the file. When my friend has downloaded the same stuff and done exactly as I have done. I even tried to join the server he had connected to. So I'm currently unsure of how to resolve this issue. And I've seen thread of dayz_code deleted. but that's not the issue I'm having.
  21. After reading the points you've made through out the thread HardTarget. I have to admit I agree with them for the most part. Especially your taking the [PATY] example into the line of sight for your point. While I do feel bandits are a problem the ones out to kill for sport. The problem I'm starting to see emerge more so, are these 'guilds' or 'groups' that are acquiring this stuff only to SoS anyone else that comes in their line of view. They know damn well they have how many other people most likely on that server. And how much more gear waiting back there for them. The reason I don't feel that his point is valid as I believe it's Nya' or so that I've noticed in their signature denotes a [PATY] tag. If I am wrong simply disregard this as an error. However they made a point as to how their group was CONSTANTLY bringing in supplies to keep all the members stocked and refreshed that it was no problem to get more stuff. In reference to an earlier point you made as to the fact that in 3 hours you've made back gear that some of these people are so eager to protect. I personally am attached to my gear , yes. HOWEVER. I have not shot a person who had first done something wrong. I've only shot TWO. In all my time playing. TWO. People. The first charged my friends and gunned them down with a Winny, only to have me have to put him down. And the other purposely drug zombies into us as bait for them. Because after they had aggro'd to us he left. Only to show up on the roof we were on, and at that point our friend had died from zombies. At that point he had in my opinion murdered my friend, with his bullshit. So he was put down HARD. Outside of that, I've actually taken to the game with something I haven't heard but. I'm trying to see how high I can get my Morality. As I want to see what faces that little mask makes in the corner. I ENJOY being a friendly. To help. I do not SoS. I do not judge Bandits as I understand self defense was netting people Bandit skins. A few cases if I may as I feel this is a point needed to be made. Outside of the power plant, the one just outside of Electro, I had taken up a spot I often hold. Of course I withhold that information as I do like having my secrets and the ability to be hidden. But I was watching from far enough away that they wouldn't have seen me without knowing I was there. I was watching the both of them, and for a bit of fun and a smile. I used Side Chat and I asked them by name so they knew I saw them. What gear they found. It took them a bit as I watched them prone trying to identify me. When they couldn't they told me nothing really good. I knew it was a lie but they didn't want a bullet in their head for stuff. I just sat watching a smile on my face, and I told them. You should try going prone through so and so. Or using this wall as cover. Generally giving them tips. I didn't open up fire which I could have and done them both in as they were very obvious. But instead had some fun with them and gave advice. This is case one. My friend had died so me and my other friend. (I'll refer to the one with me as A and the one we were going to pick up as B for easier understanding. ) 'A' was meeting up with me and we were heading out east to the eastern side of the coast to pick up 'B'. And along the way we were making stops in Cherno and Electro as we were going to restock and reoutfit. Now this entire time we were moving through both cities very well. And making fairly good time as we left Electro when we came up on this wall. And I saw movement and got down. I got out my M4A1, my friend spaced out from me and I got up against the wall. When the guy came around the corner he had a Bandit skin. And from how he was moving and looking at me he was scared shit-less. He was looking down the barrel of an M4A1 and he knew he couldn't take it. So I quickly over Direct Chat asked him. "Friendly?" And as he was twitching managed to type out Friendly and goes and drops all his ammo and runs off. While it was pretty funny to see him scared so shit-less. I told him don't worry, I am friendly and I'm not out to fuck up people's shit unless they fuck up mine. And he headed on. He was on a run to bring a friend blood bags. Had I gunned him down on the spot for who he was. His friend would probably have went without the blood he needed. This is Case 2. The last case which is something my friends didn't like and almost got us killed. But we were at the Power Plant outside of Electro once again. After scoping it out we found it to be clear, and I had taken up spot on top of the white tower and the other two were on the building across from me. We were sitting for some time just chilling you know kind of getting our shit organized and ready to move out. When we started seeing activity towards Electro, so we held down for a moment as we knew those in there were friendly from Side chat as they were teaming up with people. But we weren't too trusting of them. Don't we see this guy come running out of Electro he had been all by himself and he has a pack on him. I quickly make the decision. I tell them both to get up out of prone we're saving this guy. I told them drop them. So they asked if i meant the guy, which was easier. And I told them no. The zombies. So they opened up as I did with my trusty M4A1 and the guy got away. We asked if he needed medical aid and he climbed the building I was on. He didn't know I was there and I could have done him in but we didn't. We saved his life. Choosing him over letting the zombies have him. Though he did have a CZ... so when he attacked a zombie he got us in thick stew. But we got out of it all and we left him to be. He lasted another good 1 and a half before we saw the So and So died thing. But none the less we had given him his chance. This is case 3. I want to be friendly. I do. I want to be able to walk up to a group and know it's not SoS, or be shot on sight. But so far my encounters have NOT been good. And as such I slowly get more weary. But earlier today in the forums I was told I was a problem because I go from server to server trying to find one at night that is set during a day part of time. Which leads me to believe this community has its priorities all messed up, that I could be the problem for DC'ing and such when there are people who do it just to find new fresh servers to kill, and those who exploit loot, and generally are douchebags with it. So losing the bandit skins won't change that and really people will still be who they are in the end. I believe what needs to be done is while not completely taking the skin system out. I do believe it should be towards the top of what Rocket should work on. (( For those of you who say that having such a system is hand holding. It's not. A working system would actually help give SOME direction of what the player has been doing. NOTE:: I say a WORKING system. Not the system as it was. But a working system would help let you get that on the fly judge of a person to see if you should be weary and avoid, or see if they are looking for something. )) Now it has been just me and my two friends playing and we always play together. However I just find that either the people we run into are too edgy and will shoot. Or are too elitist and such to allow us to tag along for a bit maybe get a set of NVG or some backpacks as they make rounds. Which is how I feel the mod should be going. It should be easy for a person of friendly intent to be able to identify who shares that, and who is honestly just out for a Death match scenario. TL:DR (( In short. Need a working system. Examples of there being good. And that generally Hard Target has good points read his posts. ))
