So far i´ve lost all gear of three separate characters several days "old", randomly spawning in the wilderness, upon arrival into the game. Last time was 19. aug. at around 11pm (gmt +1) on US1335 It really, really sucks. Can the server-host clean Hive? I´d like to see this issue resolved, as it kind of reduces the game to a run and gun experience. For me at least.

Well, i probably can update to .5, but it´ll happen when dl speed is slightly more tham 4-6 kb/s from that one availiable SE-mirror...

Ehm, scanned with CCleaner?? That must be some upgraded version then, since mine does not by any means function as an antivirus application.

Ehm, wont he lose all his gear by swimming?? You could maybe stand on a dam and drop the gun into the pond or just take a hike to the north-western sticks and drop it somewhere...

My exp is that altering in-game settings do precious little to boost performance, but you definitely should try and lower QP and res. yourname.arma2profile tweaks to try: shadingQuality=0; shadowQuality=0; sceneComplexity=100000; viewDistance=1600; Even with a system that "should be able to handle stuff", you should look into running the DayZ files from a ssd or RAMdisk. Laymans eyes see: GPU1: 49C GPU2:96C... Your GPU sli-setup is definitely not sharing the load evenly for some reason. I´d advice you to seek advice in a tech-forum asap, before you fry that one card! Don´t know too much about speedfan, but according to the picture, the GPU fans aren´t running... Is your CPU singlecore? If dual, then they too don´t share load even close to equally..

Did you spawn in a place devoid of trees, plants etc.? Called "Wilderness" on entry into the game? If/then: Try walking/running eastward. Finding east in DayZ w/o a compass: "The Clouds in Chernarus always travel from the West to the East", so follow them clouds! If there are trees and stuff, you may have spawned in the middle of the northern nothingness. If/then walk south till you hit a road or powerlines or something. Good lcuk! Alternately: Starve to death and hope for a better spawn-location next time!

Tomfin: That post deserves to be a sticky one atop the troubleshooting forum! I second the above! I gained 100-150% fps just from running the mod-folder from the RAMdisk...

Well shame on me for doubting that, ´cause i just gained a noteable increase in fps after creating a RAMdisk! *woot* Now i seem to get a minimum of 15-20 fps in pretty densely populated areas and up to late 30´s in the sticks. I just got started on this tool too, so this increase came from running only the DayZ mod-files on the disk... I bet there´s more to gain from this by adding various commonly used files from the Arma base-folder. Thats the version of the most recent dayz file, not BE. Go to the dayzmod.com site and manually redownload the 1.7.2.4 ( all 7 7.zipfiles ) If BEs needing an update all you need to do is give it time to complete. Stay in the lobby till it finishes.
