WOW , your my hero... in the game , my only goal now is to kill every sniper I can. if it take's week's to track and find one , once I find one , I will go to an empty server and and position myself directly behind where the chicken is on the other server. then I will disconnect from that server and rejoin the server that the sniper chicken is on. this way I can collect everything he has collected from all the players he has killed. its called strategy and tactics , and survival.
  2. it seems as if this mod is mostly geared towards the survival of the sniper chickens and their cronies or fellow sniper chickens. I haven't played this so called survival game in a month or so , because of the snipers who just hide at the spawns and wait for a player to spawn then they kill the player and take what he has gathered , even though its not much , it probably is just enough to allow the sniper chicken's to survive just long enough until another player spawns and gathers more stuff for him to kill the new player for. I have watched the video's and the sniper chickens never kill a zombie ... they only kill other players while the other players are trying to get some food that's never there or cokes that's never there or really anything that's never there that could help him to survive. there's all kinds of useless crap to find , but if a player want's to last for several hours he must go into a city that is infested with sniper chickens. not snipers that shoot chickens , snipers that are chicken. to make the game less one sided ( less geared in favor of the sniper chicken's ) , a player should spawn with enough equipment so that he can go into the woods and survive , if he can get past the sniper chickens waiting for a easy meal. and that equipment should be as follows. a hatchet a book of matches a hunting knife a canteen this way he does not have to expose himself to the sniper chickens , in fact he could even sneak up behind the sniper chickens and hack their chicken asses up with their hatchet and rob them of all their spoils , thereby turning the tide around on them. when that starts happening they wont be so eager to lay under a tree for hours waiting for a player to cross in front of their sights. the game will end up being a flop , because people will not enjoy playing the game and spending several hours for the sole purpose of feeding the sniper chickens. I have heard that there were a few changes in the game that prevented the sniper chickens from disconnecting as soon as their ammo ran low , so that they could re-join to refill their ammo back up automatically , if thats true then at least if the sniper chickens have to actually move from their chicken coup to get more ammo , then they will become exposed. but the only way to prevent them from camping is to allow new spawners to have a chance to survive long enough to hack up a sniper or two before he is killed. ------- BTW ------ if your sniped or killed hit escape and disconnect from the server , this will prevent the chickens from getting what you have gathered. dont just re-join. I have seem this happen on the videos on you tube , the chicken crying because the player's body they just killed dissapeared they will be saying things like , oh WTF he disconnected , wasted that ammo...

    Arma 2 Trade-In

    the Dayz mod cannot be sold. unless they are selling it with permissions from the arma people. thats my understanding of the way a mod of a game is treated financially , but nobody can stop the dayz folk from making loads of money otherways like t-shirts and stuff.
  4. getting in a game seems really hard for me. the ping does not work in the 6 launcher , so I end up spending several hours just finding a server that doesnt make me feel like Im lost in a time warp. you cannot select / filter a mod version in the arma2 multiplayer gui. so I have to spend loads of time clicking on each individual server in the list to see which one of the servers displaying version 1.7.2.4 in the server name actually is version 1.7.2.4 . no fun there. the axe / hatchet does no damage if you happen to be a few inches away from a zombie more than its designed to be. or if you happen to be a few inches closer to him than its designed to be. this lets the zombie rake you very good while your wondering why hes still killing you and your swinging away at him with a heavy axe. and couldnt you just let the hatchet come already loaded and stay loaded ? so that you can pull out the hatchet while your running away from the two zombies that are still chasing you after you have unloaded all the nerf bullets from the three clips you used to have using which ever hand gun you mistakenly thought had real bullets in it. come on guys , the game has a button that reloads the hatchet , so just write some code that presses the reload button when someone picks up a hatchet. or people will have to resort to autohotkeys to do it for them. also , it would really be nice if your guy didnt have to stop when he pulls out his hatchet while he is running from a zombie or a chicken. and matches , why not put more than 1 box of matches in a server? and canteens , same as matches. some people dont want to hang around in the cities so that some chicken bandit sniper and his chicken friends can snipe them from a safe distance so that they can steal their goodies that they have spent hours collecting. put more of the canteens and matches in more places so that the chickens wont know where they can get a easy meal.

    Please, DONT add a bandit-indicator in this patch

    I agree , bandits are just too chicken to collect their own goodies themselves. they wait in the woods until some new guy gets in and collects a few items then they kill them for them. poor bandits , looks like you will have to get close to some zombies yourself.
