How exactly do the servers handle character retention. With Windows 8 RTM set to hit MSDN soon I was wondering if I should expect to lose my character when I do a clean install of the new OS. I don't know the specifics on what identifiers the servers use from the client so any help would be great. Thanks

Character retention - Machine fingerprint?

Ok, just realized that the CD-Key is the fingerprint (per the message when creating a character haha) so that's good. -
I'm 25 with a mic and getting tired of getting near people asking if they need help or want to team up to be met with silence. Encounters almost always end in bloodshed.
