  1. I'm sorry but this is stupid. I'm supposed to try and out run a zombie that has no de-agro radius, potentially attracting more zombies and making myself extremely visible to other players which could possibly have guns?

     

    The sprint speed with no melee or primary / secondary weapon out is pretty fast. You can easily out run a zombie. 


  2. AmberHelios tooling out in this thread hard. I like how you're calling out gummy for punctuation, yet your English is absolutely atrocious.

    At least Gummy is trying to bring some attention to this issue, which is a valid security concern. Your opinion, and attitude here, are both indicative of fanboyism... therefore, invalid.

  3. It`s been a while since I have posted in here now, but I still check in from time to time.

    The pictures that was posted looks okey. Many of us are already playing dayzmod alot (more than other "complete" games)

    so release should be a high priority now (as I am sure it is).

    There are however 2 problems that I can not find any good information on.

    1. Helicopters. will they be in the release? Most players hunt for them or want them, makes the game alot more fun.

    I think rocket already confirmed that there are no plans for Helicopters to be included in the SA. They don't even have vehicles ready for the Alpha release, which is a major disappointment, imho.


  4. I'm a little late to the game; I hadn't read the first few pages of the thread to see Rocket's posts. I think the following quotes are very troubling.

    While we could devote resources to making the game more sparkly - we aren't. We're devoting resources to making more functionality. DayZ is not a game that is about sexy graphics - I really thought this would be dead obvious.

    First of all; that's a lie and a double standard. You are devoting resources to making the game more sparkly by enhancing the map. Maybe you're simply not managing your resources properly.

    I tend to agree with Gummy here. Wasn't there a whole Dev Blog update dedicated to some crappy ship sublevel? How many man hours were spent painstakingly designing the rust textures for the wrecked ship?
