Well our hives our not connected but we have several different servers with different maps. If you just look up AZSF in the filter of Dayz commander you will find us!

No, If they were within your direct chat range you would have heard them no matter what channel you were in

Yes you can, players will not hear it as SD but zombies still will. ( From my experiences)

I had this same problem, I just restarted Dayzcommanded and reinstalled my versions and it worked -
How many servers have you tried? You could just be having the bad luck of trying all out of date servers?

Another fun way for base building is Wasteland on Arma 2

Go to install/versions on the top right of dayz commanders. Then look for taviana and install the most recent version
