Finding another player in DayZ: ''Oh cool, another guy, time for him to die roflmao!11!1!'' Pretty much no one would have that mentality IRL. If you're looking for a realistic disaster simulator, face it, DayZ fails on almost all fronts. DayZ is just a game, people will KOS because gun battles are fun, shooting people to make them rage in side chat is fun. Forget a realistic experience, just have fun and enjoy the 1% of moments when you actually get to interact with someone who isn't part of your 4-man death-squad.

Just go to a really remote dead-end road, and drive for a couple kilometres. Cars will give away a camp faster than anything. One tent stashed away might go undiscovered for a long time, 3 tents and a UAZ, not so much.

I don't know anything about XP, but my DXtory never had that problem. I just tell it to capture audio from my mic and from my speakers, the mic and speakers still work normally. It may be and XP issue, have you googled your problem?

Same here zero, I've handled every item in the game, I was just curious what people have actually found in a spawn. I've had 3 L85s, but all of them were given to me by someone else or taken off a corpse.

Yeah, a lot of people say they haven't ever found NVGs or Rangefinders, yet everyone with an AS50 on the coast is geared up with both.

I've found 2 legit, and handled 3 in total. They don't work though, so I've never kept any of them.

Hopefully we'll be able to find different optics and scopes in stand-alone. I would love to swap out a sniper scope for a NV-scope, a CCO for an ACOG, etc...

I tend to think it's ARMA 2 being dumb. I've shot people multiple times with MK48s, M14s, DMRs, and two bullets just doesn't seem to cut it. I just keep shooting until they fall over, and then I give their faces a few just to be sure.

In 1 month of play I have yet to have an m107 fired at me, or to fire one myself. In fact, most sniper sounds I hear are the distant echoes from elektro, booming across the mountains.

People get banned for hacking in a game. Banning them in games they haven't hacked in is unfair.
