Side chat adds a lot of teamwork to the game. I've organised trades, met up with people, and had a blast, all because of communication. When there is no communication, people KOS.

I just watched a video where 5+ grenades, that look on target, get no kills. I just don't consider nades as a reliable weapon.

Range is off on a lot of weapons. You have to aim way high, no matter what your mildots say, with the DMR and SVD, at ranges beyond 600m. Fast foreward to DMR and SVD.

I also haven't seen people on dobry in a long time, though I've seen videos that make that area look like a game of COD. Must be the server. Try a 70 man server, you'll find snipers.

On my group's server, which usually has less than 15 players, we have already found 4 camps with hacked guns, and we have had multiple hackers spawn helicopters. Once we had a hacker teleporting around killing us, and spawning weapon crates, but that was weeks ago. Artifacts and tents/vehicles disappearing and not saving loot is much more frustrating right now.

I wouldn't abort if a player has spotted me. Any other time though, it doesn't matter.

I recently joined, by accident, a private hive. Side chat enabled, increased vehicle count, and overall much better play experience. I found a car, and was able to get two people to meet up and fix with me. When one of them died on the way, a random guy offered him a ride back to us in his own car. Well all drove around and had a good time. Having the ability to dick around is pretty fun also. I only know about CA1, but I know other private servers exist. If you guy know any other private servers, feel free to share them.

Find a bicycle (easy) then search the northern part of the map, from Y 000 to 010 along the entire West-East area. I did this yesterday, I found 5 camps, and one of them had a pick-up truck. Another had another bike. If you don't find cars, you will certainly find camps, probably full of duped items for your enjoyment.

Do this Only thing he doesn't mention is that you can accidentally pitch the tent on top of yourself, breaking your legs, knocking you out and maybe killing you. Good luck!

Shouting out to any U'corp members. That UAZ you had? It's mine now. I was just in Zelenogorsk, about to loot the supermarket, when I hear your car driving through, i don't know what the driver was doing. He just did donuts killing zombies in the parking lot. I shot with an m24 and missed, and he tried to escape, but I took a wheel out, stopping the car. Then, from out of nowhere, a survivor skin guy runs towards the car, I assume he was one of yours looking for a pick-up. I put three shots into him, he dropped dead, and I saw the driver, wearing camo clothing, get out, he would have been mine, but zombies swarmed my position, so I lost sight of him. I got a friend on TS, he was heading to back me up, so I held my position. Some minutes later (it felt like an hour) I saw another survivor skin crawling on the hill, I fired, but my zeroing was off, and only one shot hit, zombies again swarmed me. No kill was confirmed. I decided to run, and as I ran towards the industrial area I could hear silenced weapons firing, I couldn't tell if they were at me. I flanked around to the hill I shot the survivor on, and again held my position. Back-up soon arrived. I flanked wide around the town, my buddy on overwatch. My goal was to find and kill camo clothing guy, as well as the survivor. I was about to cross the dirt road, when my friend called out a ghillie sniper. I couldn't see him at all, but he directed my into range, and my m249 made short work of him. I got the murder, but the body was no where to be found, I assume he alt-f4'ed. I moved through the town. clearing the market and heading up to the car. I made it okay, and surveyed the damage. One wheel gone, one damaged and hull at yellow. The car was full of loot, 2 M4SD, 2 M14, an L85 and other lesser weapons. Meanwhile, overwatch spotted a bandit skin, and took him out. Moments later, another guy also fell to his DMR. As I looted the town, looking for a wheel, he shot another guy, but a quick alt-f4 saved him. We decided we needed to get a wheel, so my friend took off to the coastal factories to get one, I set up 600 meters north of the car. Just as he was 1000m away from me with the wheel, I spotted camo clothing running down the hill to the car, I let him get close, and when he stood still, I gave him two shots, somehow he lived through it, but he bled out on the ground. I took the wheel from my friend, and slowly scanned with the L85 I found in the car. I spotted one more guy, behind the barn, overlooking the car. My friend didn't have a shot, and at over 600m a DMR is not ideal, and I couldn't shoot with the pain I incurred from a zombie smash. Flanking was the only way, a small hill hid my approach, and I was able to flank far around the hill the enemy was on, and I came up behind him, I dared go no closer, so even with the pain, I opened up with the L85, and got the kill. One last scan on thermal, no hostiles. I made a beeline for the car fixed it and drove off. 4 confirmed kill for me, 2 for my friend. We somehow killed the same guy three times, whose name was ExT-something, I don't remember too well. Anyway, I had loads of fun, one of the best dayz moments I've ever had. I hope you see this U'corp, you'll get a chance to get the car back sometime, I'm sure, I look forward to it.

i7 2600k 3.4 ghz Radeon 6970 High-normal settings I get 60 fps everywhere but cities, where I get 45-60 I don't know much about nvidia cards, but your setup should be better than mine.

Current playstyle: Gear farming. PDW, coyote backback and NVGs, some food, ammo and meds.

DayZ on console will probably be like TF2 on console, really crappy compared to the PC version.

Yeah, bike spawns need to increase tenfold. They serve no purpose other than single player transport.

AKs, and shotguns aren't rare. M4s, mp5s and m16s are a little rarer, but not very. Even high end gear is easy to find if you stay alive long enough to search a bit. I've found 2 NVG, 2 AS50,1 M107, 1 rocket launcher, 3 M4 SD, 2 m24, all in the last week of playing. I still have yet to find a L85, Bizon, MK48, rangefinders or satchel charges myself, although my clan has found several of each. The one gun I want, and that I have never seen spawn, is the CZ550. Rarest gun in the game if you ask me.

How to win in Electro: 1. Don't join 25 players+ servers, Electro is a deathmatch on almost every one of them. 2. Expect death, and don't give a f*ck. 3. Go with the ''beat it with a hammer'' approach, just run in, hit up the market, the southern fire station, then the northern fire station, exit on the north road and head to your destination of choice. I usually go to stary sobor, then my tent, then NWA. 4. Hide a tent somewhere (acquired during step 3) and fill it with stuff. 5. Repeat step 3 and 4 every life and your tent will soon be stocked with goods. My tent has m24, m4, mp5, 2x NVGs, food, water and lots of ammo and meds. If possible, find a bicycle, makes getting from your tent to loot locations much easier.

I like watching random things that happen in DayZ, but you can't really make those happen. Doing random things though, is usually pretty funny. Like axe-murdering people, throwing tin cans at unaware players, trolling people, things like that.

No one would carry around a .50 over a m24. Most military guys probably wouldn't choose a .50 for practical reasons. DayZ is not a war game, it's a survival game, a .50 wouldn't help you survive. Add to that that no one would sit on a rooftop shooting people in a real apocalypse unless they were defending something. Sure, there are sick f*cks, but I think very few would go out of their way to kill people. I think the PVP that was intended for this game (subjective speculation) was more along the lines of killing people while raiding a town for food and guns, killing people who come too close to your base, covering a team mate going into a dangerous location, things like that. Not sniping people who are of no threat to you, and for the sole purpose of your amusement. The guy at NWA has no reason to sit there and kill people other than he likes to play that way. He's not competing with you for the loot, he's been sitting there for half an hour, he could have looted and gone by the time anyone else showed up. You have a play style that has unmatched stealth with unmatched stopping power at range, in the hands of assholes. I would remove all scoped rifles save the m16 acog. The m14 can still be effective at 500m+, but without the scope it will be a challenge. The m16 acog will have the scope, but is much less effective at range than the m14. Just my .02

I wish I had it recorded, but I was at NWA barracks when a zombie ran through a wall and punched me so hard I flew through the wall, broke my legs, bled and got knocked out.

Brushing against another person has gotten me 3 broken legs in the last two days.
