Because having 3-4 vehicles for your clan is the same as hoarding every vehicle on the map. Not sure if stupid or stupid.

I just played on a private hive advertising custom anti hacks and admins etc. Got teleported into the ocean after about 20 minutes. I lost both my chemlights AND my hatchet, I shall forever feel a part of my soul missing. But no, seriously, I have had no luck whatsoever with private hives (Have tried about 10 or so). The hacking is just as rampant, and the admin abuse is even worse there.

Come to think of it, I have exactly ONE tent that does this. Reverts back to the stuff I put in it originally. But all my others work fine.

Not sure what updates that you and I have done differently, but my tents behave just fine and keep items between resets. I find what I left in there.

No, it's not. Save the tents after you take stuff out. None of our tents suddenly grow extra AS50s because we don't abuse that exploit.

Problem is, if they are just duping, they will take the AS50s and L85s out of their backpacks and start the dupage again. Don't wipe anything until that exploit is removed.

Sorry to hear that man. My group strives to uphold the ideals of this game, namely no duping, hacking, or combat logging. I know how long it takes to gather all that stuff up, and having your site wrecked is a real blow to the morale. The server our base was on shut down permanently with no warning. Luckily, I play with a group, so starting over wasn't so terribly bad. We got set back up within a week or so. Not quite as big as our original camp, but it works. Hopefully you'll reconsider, and if not, maybe in standalone.

Until you have parachuted from a boat, you have not truly lived. I was near Pobeda Dam with a friend of mine, having stumbled upon a massive encampment of tents chock full of basically everything in the game. There may not have been any scripting, but the tents were clearly duped; 8-9 tents with identical contents. Each one contained 2 AS50s, 2 L85s, 2 DMR, 2 NVGs, and 2 GPS, along with a metric ton of food, water, and ammunition. Having no vehicle at the time, we simply started trekking back and forth, ferrying enough ammunition and guns to replace the ones that were deleted by a previous server reset. It was probably our third or fourth trip back to the tent city. I stopped to swap out my Alice pack for a coyote from one of the tents, when I hear several shots being fired. My buddy informs me that the owners have returned, and he is soon cut down in a hail of sniper bullets. He yells at me to steal their bicycle and get out of there. Outnumbered and outgunned, I hop on their bicycle and start pedaling away. My pal is not so heartbroken about dying, knowing that we made off with far more loot than we started with. After I have cleared more than a kilometer, zigzagging through the trees, I stop to get my bearings. That's when they appeared right next to me and shot me point blank with AS50 TWS. Skiddies... skiddies everywhere. I respawned on the beach near Kamenka and began the long hike back to where we died, thinking it was over. Turns out, the skiddies weren't satisfied with merely killing us. They had some other fun times planned and teleported to beach inside a fishing boat. They came up to me and unloaded some verbal abuse, did you think you could escape, etc. and insisted that I do a vault dance for them. Being a fresh spawn, I had nothing to lose so I played along with them and followed their orders. Afterwards, they commanded me into the boat. My friend on TS warned me not to do it, that they would just leave me stranded far out in the ocean. I decided it was worth the risk. Now, this is where it got interesting. After climbing into the boat, which is at least 100m from the water, the sound of an aircraft engine hums to life and the boat starts to move... straight up into the air. After gaining some altitude, they took off, instantly accelerating to over 2000 kph. The terrain was flying past so fast that literally could not distinguish one town from the next. We cross all of Chernarus in about 3 seconds, then over a large body of water, then over Chernarus again. I don't know if we passed some invisible wraparound area that sent us back, or if they were repeatedly teleporting back to other side of the map and crossing it again. All I know is that we appeared to circumvent the globe several times in the space of a minute. After they got bored of circling the earth, they landed the boat and began shooting each other in the face with AS50s repeatedly. I was more concerned with figuring out where I was, because they might log out at any moment and then I'd be stranded in the woods. As I'm turning about to figure out where I am, I spy a road and move towards it. A moment later, the sound of bones snapping and the you are dead screen. I guess they got tired of messing with me. I spawn in again, this time near Three Valleys. Immediately, the boat appears next to me and the pair of ghillies hops out again. Over com, one of them is laughing hysterically. Apparently, I had inadvertently walked between them while they were unloading at each other and got blasted by an AS50. Now the thought struck my mind = If I bail out of a flying boat, can I parachute safely down? I asked them to take us up again. At first they made some jokes about how there was a fee to fly the superboat, but when I told them my intentions, they started laughing and said no one had tried it before. We all piled back into the boat and took off. I asked them before I jumped, how high are we and how fast are we going? I could not see the ground under us. They told me we were about 4000 meters up, traveling about 2000 kph, which was apparently the top speed for this boat. One last conversation in direct chat. "If I don't make it, tell my men it's been an honor serving with them." I scrolled the mouse wheel over to "Eject" and clicked it. There was no parachute. Strangely enough, there was also no fall. The moment I left the boat, I was instantly on the ground, buried face first into a tree, unconscious, bones broken, in shock, and bleeding out with my vision blurred and gray. I had just dropped almost a mile from the sky traveling at insane speeds, and somehow lived. There was about a ten second delay before the boat appeared next to me and the two guys were standing over me laughing. Then one of them said something about, "Hey, I don't hear any flies." "Oh my god... he's alive!" After a few seconds wait, I was patched up, blood bagged, the works. They were staring at me now, and the conversation was legendary. "How the ****did you survive that?!" "Are you even human bro? What is your body made of?" I told them I didn't see much. I just exited the boat and was immediately a pile of mush wrapped around a tree. Eventually, they said they were afraid of me and leaving the server because I'm clearly a deity, not a man. I jokingly told them I would let them off with a warning if they dropped me back by my body from our first encounter. One last flight in the boat and I was back at my corpse before the two of them vanished. [EDIT - Removed the video because people didn't get the joke.] To any and all DayZ vets, skiddies, hackers, bandits, etc: I just reentered orbit from a boat. Come at me bros.

What in the world does that link I provided have to do with making friends? I crawled from Devil's Castle all the way to the airfield once. Found a morphine in the last room of the barracks LIKE A BOSS. Of course, you can easily just call the medics, as I suggested.

I have most of the items in the game, and willing to trade some of them for a coyote backpack. Do not ask for: NVGs and ghillie suits. I'm all out. I have basically everything else that is not a hacked item. EDIT - I am far in the northwest above the airfield, although I have a dirt bike and I can come to you.

I once killed a skiddie with a makarov... it was easily the most satisfying kill of my DayZ career. He teleported in front of me with a M249 SAW. and I managed to beat him with a quickdraw headshot. Somehow I right clicked and left clicked, with essentially no delay between them, and my aim miraculously defaulted to his head. One makaroni shot to the face, one dead hacker. He did teleport me into the ocean after this. but it didn't matter. I was grinning ear to ear. :D

There are still friendlies out there. I lead a group of them. But, we either travel in a large group or we travel alone and invisible. It's hard to find other friendlies because we have learned to remain hidden.

One of my female friends suddenly transformed into a man after giving me a blood transfusion. I thought that was pretty entertaining.

I'd say a 3.5/5. It is not as rare or as powerful as other snipers, but it works with NVGs, fires rapidly, and has plentiful ammo.

I used all the ammo in my hatchet running around Elektro's northern hill.

My group has recently lost a few members due to boredom/inactivity etc., and furthermore the server that we play on has shut down, which was disheartening to a few of them and they decided to go back to lone wolfing. So, I'm essentially starting from scratch again with just two of my buddies and myself. This is not a clan or any sort of big organized group, just a handful of guys determined to make this game more enjoyable for everyone we encounter. We do enjoy a good firefight every once in a while, but our general rule of thumb is to offer aid to anyone we find. Right now, I'm looking for a full time medic and a spotter to accompany us (two separate people), and possibly more than that if lots of good people show interest. We do have a small stash of equipment spread out between different servers, but the primary server with most of our loot and vehicles has shut down. So joining us will not instantly guarantee you NVGs and AS50s, although we are mostly very adept at getting good loot through farming barracks and chopper crashes etc. If you're looking for a more lighthearted approach to the game, and you don't mind helping folks out only to get shot in the back of the head, then please let me know. If you are a medic trying to get into the TMW, then we can act as escorts to get you to your patients. Please leave contact details, a little bit about yourself, how long you've been playing, any other clans/groups you've been in, why we should pick you up, or whatever else you think might be relevant in helping me decide.
