I would rather the vehicles save properly. I hate walking for 10m (minutes, not meters) to meet my friends, especially after I've wasted time locating and repairing a car. I will of course be happy to see the hackers gone, but right now I have more of a problem with bugs and features not working than I do with hackers. I've only been killed by hackers twice, although everyone else and their mother says they are scriptkilled/teleported/thunderdomed daily.

Except that sniping in this game is painfully easy. Of my first 5 shots from my AS50 (first sniper rifle I found, go figure) 4 of them were kills. This is with no Arma 2 experience prior to DayZ. Maybe it is a little harder with some of the other rifles, but I just find AS50s all over the place, and it requires no skill to use unless you're trying to pull off a 900m shot.

If you turn a sandbox game into a PVP based game you are an idiot. Just sayin...

You are 100% correct, however, this has already been stated by 100 different people. Just wait for 1.7.3 and hope the devs were listening.

I'm certainly not accusing you of hacking. I'm saying, the weapon you are/were carrying is not supposed to be in the game in the first place, and I have zero sympathy if it is taken from you. Still sucks that you got shot, but that's a risk taken by joining these colonies.

Two possibilities. 1. There were bandits camping the hills nearby as usual, and they shot you. 2. You didn't follow the rules in the OP and were subsequently shot. I have visited this camp repeatedly and never been shot, so it was more than likely one of these two things. Go into teamspeak on the server and tell them where you were shot, they may be able to help you retrieve your gear. P.S. I really don't feel bad that you lost a hacked weapon.

Went to stary today with 4 friends. Turns out there was someone in one of the tents. He panicked and killed one of our members. I yelled "WAS THAT REALLY NECESSARY?" into direct comm. Then I hear a shaky voice over the comms answer "sorry I thought you were gonna kill me like everyone else." I convinced him to come out of there, we loaded him up on food and morphine, and gave him a silenced M4 to replace his AK. Then we hopped back into our convoy and drove down to the coast to pick up our guy and hand his gear back to him. We dropped the guy we met off near the center of the map and told him not to be so trigger happy. In other words, we don't even care if you kill us, we still try to be helpful. We still help out. I consider our group heroes, and yes, we do wander around looking for survivors in need of assistance.

Wrong. I was accused of using a 'minimap' hack and banned from a server about a week ago. My only crime was stopping to consult my GPS twice within the space of a minute. HOW DARE HE BAN ME??????!!!!!!! Oh wait, there's ten thousand other servers to pick from. I just moved to another one. I would be in favor of admins just banning anything and everything that looks suspicious if it meant I could avoid being thunderdomed daily.

Have a Lee enfield, an AKM, plenty of bandages and morphine, most of the basic tools (Map compass hatchet toolbox matches etc... no GPS right now) M1014 shotgun, a couple hand grenades. I also have 3 frag grenades and a set of NVGs that I took off a bandit. Since I only play during the day, NVG's don't matter to me and I will trade them. I am near stary sobor and I need 4 tires and an engine kit. Let me know if you have car parts and willing to trade for this stuff.

My car is gravely injured and bleeding out fast! Bring an engine kit to Stary ASAP! Hurry Doc!

Far faster than walking, especially when trying to pick up pals near the coast. Once it working I'l ldrive to all the UAZ spawn points and get a real car.

I literally lol'd at this. HUNDREDS of bandits and hackers have been trying to dismantle these groups since day one, and this guy is like "lol me n a couple pals gonna git you! hurrrrrrp" Like... seriously?

Amusing to hear this, since 95% of players that I run into have the towel over their face.

The name won't help unless you play on servers with nameplates, and even then, there are some bandit groups that specifically hunt medics anyway. Move by night and stick to the trees. Best way to stay alive is to be a shadow. Solo medic game is hard.

I was in the hospital in cherno on a low pop server hunting for morphine. I normally avoid going into the cities, but having zero morphine on me made me kinda nervous. While I was looting, a guy in a bandit skin came around the corner with an ak right into my face. We were literally face to face, 1 meter apart. I think I scared the crap out of him, because he instantly started spraying bullets. I held Z immediately and dropped prone in front of him, so his bullets simply made holes in the hospital walls. I put a couple rounds into his legs and heard the telltale cracking of bones as he fell unconscious. When I stood back up, I pointed the gun down at him and saw that he had DR in front of his name. I checked his bag, and he had nothing but morphine, blood bags, and food. He was apparently a traveling medic who panicked when the ghillie came around the corner. I said in direct comms that he should use the safety on his gun, bandaged him, and left. If not for DR in his name he'd be dead right now. EDIT: I'd suggest to would be medics that you find a traveling companion, even if that person isn't a medic. Having a sniper around improves your lifespan dramatically.

My hero outfit is hidden under my Ghillie Suit, although I'm not so much a hero anymore. More like a guardian angel. When you are sitting on the hills around Elektro and Cherno, mindlessly murdering the innocent and taking the lives of the defenseless... listen for the snapping of twigs and the rustle of leaves behind you. It might just save you from getting one shot from an M9SD in the base of your skull. Also, to the player named Brandon on US 2030 last night. I am sorry. The two bandits who shot you off of your ATV did not get far. I had my M9SD in my hands and an AKM on my shoulder. I stopped to pull my M24 out of my bag as quickly as I could, but I am not faster than a bullet. I hope you rest in peace knowing that they paid for your life with their own. Currently 12,000 humanity, with 13 bandit kills and 1 murder,
