If you go into the game's files and remove the trees, bushes, buildings, etc. then those items won't appear in the game and you can walk through them or see through them. However, nearly all servers will kick you after a few seconds once it detects that your files are missing. If they have a vehicle parked inside a building, it means that the server you are referring to does not check your files for accuracy and thus you can remove trees and/or buildings. Well, I kinda already said I was coming back to check out the dogs. So yeah, you are correct. But this is not entirely due to DayZ; I'm the leader of a rather large clan for a different game and my clanmates are pissed at me for spending all my time on DayZ. So I have to go back and actually manage my crap. :D
