Ok - and the dayz community team would like to continue to work with a party that gives informations like this ? IMHO these are the options: Keep on waiting until someone feels like doing something. Post a contact address and let users and serveradmins shitstorm them Move the existing hive data to a new server / provider Dump the database, move the data to the new servers, create hotfix to link the servers to the new database or change a-record accordingly if possible If you do not have own server(s)/no financial means to get them - find sponsorsBite the bullet: Create a new hive If the existing data can't be moved "because host is fucked": Get new server(s), create empty hive DB from scratch. Still better than having this element of uncertainty in the long run. -

Hive error: Unknown internal error
s0ylent replied to liukang168's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
I was not aware - but as http://support.dayzmod.com/ is not updated or responded to it makes sense. Dayz Devs: If the Dayz Community-Mod is dying because no one is supporting it, fine: Thanks for your hard work in the past. Let us know you quit so we hosters can stop waiting, move on and choose more active alternatives like DayZero etc. Otherwise this is just a waste of time and money. -

There is an open issue at github.com/DayZMod/DayZ/issues , but that seems to be more or less abandoned, too. -

Hive error: Unknown internal error

That. I spend a lot of time to create a rock solid service to my users- by creating monitor scripts that automatically detect when the server crashes, automated backups, minimal downtimes etc etc - and this just ruins it and kills my userbase. I understand that issues can always occur but I wish there would at least be better informations whats going on. -

Timeout connecting to official hive in hiveext.log
s0ylent posted a topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Hi, out of nowhere my (official) server has the issue that after a restart it does not connect to the hive. Players that try to join get a "Waiting for host message". The hiveext.log stays empty for a while, then gives HiveExt: [Error] Timeout There has been no change to the server (last was the 1.7.7.1 update) it started out of nowhere. Anyone had this before / has the same issue and a workaround / solution ? Cheers -

Thanks, you have my beans - did not see this thread before. P.S. Maybe a thread informing the server hosters hould be sticky / on top. -

I dont give a flying fuck about the cans but care about the new bugs that are introduced and the weird combat mode.
-
Just had a nice bug: Person next to me puts on a ghillie suit. *I* get the broken legs icon, but can still walk around I have non-stop combat mode, never expiring fun.

I agree that it is too strict and bitchy in 1.7.5. I found it okay before. -

DayZ Server - Linux_Debian - 1.7.3
s0ylent replied to ChillaxOwner's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
I strongly dislike posts like this, sanzzess. If you run it on a linux box... fine... but then please tell the guy HOW you did it instead of bragging. Thank you. -
Thanks for the update! Compared to the last update I appreciate that you now emailed the server admins so that they are made aware of the update. Nevertheless I think you can still improve the way you approach admins when they have questions and in general the way how informations are spread. Instead of moaning that "they [server admins] are not capable to do their job" and/or sometimes reply with nonsense, unobjective smartass comments (looking at https://github.com/R4Z0R49 ) when ppl have problems and ask for help. Please keep in mind that at least some admins are paying with their own hard earned cash to rent & run a server and also spent a lot time to maintain and defend it against hackers - beside their usual real life jobs and private commitments. Not everybody can constantly check all sources of information or be in IRC 24/7 to learn about the latest tweaks. And with a proper - probably optional self-updating server - this should not be necessary in the first place. I hope that standalone will deliver some of that.
