You are really missing out on the human interaction if you just rush people with your fists instead of cooperating and putting your hands up. Me and my buddies like to rob people, much more fun than killing people. But we also give freshies canteens, food, and stuff like that. One of the guys in our group we actually met when we held him up, we decided he was nice so we gave him some stuff and he tagged along and now he is one of my steam friends. I've run into a few people like the OP, never want to cooperate either running away or trying to rush us with a melee weapon or their fists. I'm just gonna say that when ever meet someone who doesn't cooperate, I just put a bullet in them and to me they deserve it. These are also probably the same people who whine on the forums about KOS all the time.

Been saving the life of a lot of dead people..
vladiman replied to broguenz's topic in General Discussion
I think those are people who have logged out after they go unconscious and the game just keeps them there gushing blood until server reset. -
I have sprayed magazines, they still work like normal. However I noticed that if you have 0 rounds in the magazine, after you spray paint it it will be full. You can actually make a lot of ammo this way so hopefully it'll get fixed soon.

Don't log off in high traffic areas, problem solved. Never would of happened if you went into the forest or some random house before you logged.

"OP" "Nerf" "Balance".... Why the hell are you people using these words in this game?! If you want artificial balance go play CoD or BF. The best balance in this type of game is realism.

So I just saw a server named "Friendly! No KOS! 24/7 day! 3PP: ON!"
vladiman replied to NagsterTheGangster's topic in General Discussion
I accidentally joined a "no kos" server once. Had more people KOSing than on any other server I've ever been too lol. If people want less kos go play on 1st Person only servers, much nicer people on those usually  -
DayZ needs to be more hardcore and unforgiving not less. Wait until there are private hives and then you can do whatever you want on your own server. There is no way that servers like you described would be allowed on the official hives.
-
Aren't private hives supposed to solve all of this? Each server on a private hive has your character restricted to that server if I'm not mistaken.

Yesterday my buddy shot a guy twice with mosin and he didn't go down, I had to finish him with my M4. What's weird is that I have one shotted a few guys with my mosin in electro a while ago... maybe I just hit them in vital places and my friend didn't...

Rolling Changelog: Stable Branch: 0.32.114557
vladiman replied to rocket's topic in News & Announcements
That's too bad, I really like stumbling upon bodies of other players and wondering how they died. I understand why it might have to be lowered for performance reasons, but I hope bodies will eventually be able to stay longer. -
Zombie attack eventaully leading to becoming a zombie?
vladiman replied to SirGaryColeman's topic in Suggestions
I think it would be cool that if you die from zombies a zombie NPC is spawned in place of your body that carries around your inventory after you die. But no playable zombies please, players are too smart to simulate zombies and it would just be stupid. -
Why is the goal; servers able to support 150 players?
vladiman replied to AlfalphaCat's topic in Suggestions
I am all for 150 players as long as they double or triple the map size first :P . Even with 40 players you run into people alot, 150 people on the current map would just be a huge clusterf*ck. -
So why do people refuse being held up?
vladiman replied to Mays (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
Add in a death timer or make losing characters mean something other than losing gear and then more people will rather be held up. And to everyone who says they'd rather go down fighting...I'll put a bullet in you the moment you equip a weapon, either that or my buddy with a mosin will take you out from afar. So you most likely won't even get a chance to do anything and I'll just move on. But if you cooperate with me, you'll get to live and keep most of your items. -
Combat Logging - Massive Game Killer for DayZ
vladiman replied to crusader_111's topic in General Discussion
I am an EvE Online player myself and using a system similar to EvE's crimewatch for PvP would be good imo. I have spent hours in that game hunting other players and running away from them and being hunted myself. If someone in that game could just log off in the middle of space during a battle with no consequence the whole game would be ruined. That game also had a logoff timer for safely logging off in space of 30 seconds. That is if you didn't have any combat flags. So yeah having to wait for 15 minutes in DayZ after combat and 30-60 seconds before logging off would be nice and fix the issue of combat loggers. -

vladiman replied to Mays (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
In the game's current state, why give up your stuff or try to fight back when you can just log out and get away without a scratch? Not that I combat log (I actually try to hold up people whenever I can) I'm just saying people can get out of any situation by logging unless you put a bullet in their skull before they even realize you're there.
