    but also saying that private hives are not the solution also says that admins and server owners are being abusive in that way.what it really boils down to is that our hand is being forced in order to save our community its the admins and server owners that are forced to come up with these type of solutions to make the game more safe not the other way around.

    #1 private hives don't allow server jumping. private hives only keep your gear on that server. for instance if someone logs into your serer for the first time they have 10 pipe bombs and a g36k those are hacked weapons plain and simple. and its easily spotted in the database you can control that.

    #2 We need a 3rd party application to monitor and keep our servers secure BE is useless. every time a new BE script is released its shown(viewable) to general online public hackers only have to look online and they find a workaround .

    # Saying that all admins are abusive is like saying all Arabic/Black people are the same they call that stereotyping for a reason. Most if not all server admins just want to keep their players safe why is that so wrong that we want to lock servers be able to check logs properly and ban people when needed. don't we want more players to play? hence the reason a standalone is being made?

    Admins aren't running the game its hackers everyone knows this we need to stop using admins as the excuse and focus on a way to protect what we PAY for without servers you have no MOD.

    What would you have the DayZ team do about the hackers? Even if they lessened any restrictions on what you can do with your server hackers will still be a problem. Its a problem with the game, not the mod, do remember that there is only so much rocket can edit with touching the Arma 2 source code, which as far as I am aware he cant edit at the moment.

    Admin abuse is a focus point for the team as they can control what admins can and cant do. They can stop admins from doing unfair things on their servers, they cant stop the hackers, they can make sure that clans dont kick dozens of people off servers for clan members but they wont be able to do much to stop helicopter strafing runs that are firing explosive buses.

    Admin control is easy to control, while hackers will continue to find ways around any measure taken against them. People who hack actively seek ways around protection, while admins use the tools at their disposal.

    silent do you even own/rent/admin a server ? Admin abuse is not the only problem. Its BE client and a code problem. Allow us to protect what we PAY for. they aren't doing us any favors its the other way around

    Last time i checked this mod wasnt based off the stats of their servers.

    let the devs speak for themselves and not try to play the good guy trying to stick up for them.

    We don't need a captain obvious we need captain answers

    No one is pointing fingers at anyone all we ask we be able to enforce/police our servers without being blacklisted for trying to keep our players on every single server safe.

    They wont do so on the for the fact that they already know battle eye is garbage yet it is still pushed on us as the only option. That my friends is not the only option use their hive or your own. I

    guarantee the ladder is the obvious answer to these problems. Our new private server is already up and we can police it now properly we love they game hence why we are still running the mod. Yes you can still support the mod but unfortunately its not official to them. We are not in no way bashing this game or the devs just wanting to get what we pay for as admins.

    heres the situation ...

    We have 2 options

    1) Give in to battleeye Give in to hackers then rage quit as admins/players/supporters...

    or

    2) Go private there are many options out there this forum isnt allowed to discuss such posts search the internet do the research u decide but my vote is 2..

    Also as of late anyone else notice the people that are being defensive about us complaining about the devs i suggest they look at most of not all the their new titles on the forums ive seen alot of changes since standalone was announced and i hope im not the only one. can someone say BROWN NOSE?

    I love u rocket great mod but. just like u most of us dont have money to blow on random solutions and hope for the best... bad enough economy is bad in the states as im sure alot of other countries.

    We are people too and us server hosters are suffering greatly.

    Something has to be done.

    also u know hacking is bad when ur own child says dad this is really gay after u get teleported and die on your own server....

    P.S how many admins does it take to ban a hacker?

    the only way to stop hacking is to shut down your server our server use to be constantly maxed out constantly updated but since the hacking the press release about mod going standalone im starting to think the dev team doesnt care anymore tbh i know the forums have been quiet for a while now server admins and players asking for help no response. without servers u have no players without players u no money without money u have no support and it trickles down. i understand its alpha but this is the longest alpha ive ever tested. 1000000 players x 30$ you do the math.

    Server admins and owners are suffering the most remember that we host day z u get mod feedback its a double edge sword.

    And i dont know about the rest of u server owners but 50$ a month plus for a game with no support for hacking u might as well give out ur bank account to hackers.

    heres the problem both rcon and admin/side server does not work even when set properly ingame you cant login most of the time and when you do it will not change the hacking situation. ive been logged into admin several times while being hacked and have not been able to do a single thing. Had hackers change day/night cycles ingame in real time spawn weapons they no they arent gonna get caught and we as admins and server owners are helpless the fact that there are updates to BE doesnt change a thing if you cannot read the logs if they bypass it and thats what most if not all of the players are doing. continuously changing aliases and so forth its at the point were im paying for a server thats unplayable 24/7 hackers are winning sadly and and we are loosing this battle hence why im shutting down my server US 239. and forgive the runon sentences. tbh i understand the game is going standalone and im aware that their focused on $. at the moment and im also aware that Battle Eye is outdated software wed be better using norton anti-virus to stop hacking at this rate.

    Just had this happen on my server i wasnt logged into as admin and time was 3:30am i was looking at my watch too wich was funny. 5 mins later the whole game screen freaked i was using nvg and it was 11am i also beleive that it happened with the new BE RCON someone is finding a way to login rcon or admin on server and changing the time ingame. checked the logs as well..
