  1. So why are you asking about the serial? Take a screenshot with the error message and let us know when it pops up, if you want help.
  2. Well obviously you need to solve that first.
  3. Can you run OA or A2?

This is getting out of hand

You should already have 1.1.8.x so I doubt that's the issue you have. Performance issues now could be related to the 98443 beta of OA as can be read here: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?141985-ARMA-2-OA-beta-build-98443-%281-62-MP-compatible-build-post-1-62-release%29 There was a new beta yesterday (98736) that is supposed to fix that issue. http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?142332-ARMA-2-OA-beta-build-98736-%281-62-MP-compatible-build-post-1-62-release%29

    Battle-eye

When you're in the thread you can see where it is by looking at the top of the page.OP: Go here: http://www.battleye.com/download.html and download the 32-bit windows client. If anyone ever offers you a fix or similar with a file - never ever run it. It will steal your cd-key. When you have DLed the dll-file, move it to your program files/whatever/operation arrowhead/extension folder and it should work. If it doesn't, run OA as admin and join a regular OA server, close as normal and then run Dayz.

Bad Cd key: invalid Cd key

  7. You obviously don't watch Simpsons. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8iSD9lPVY6Q
  8. I get one freeze within ~5 minutes from joining and I'm pretty sure it's BE.
  9. Bitter much?I don't know how you spent 50 bucks on a free mod, so I assume you mean the two games Arma2 and Operation Arrowhead that you haven't actually played yet. And how you ended up paying so much is probably because you were banned and bought it twice? Anyways, your second statement that the standalone will cost 30 bucks is false. Go home WarZ dev, you're drunk.
  10. As I see it, the only way out of this is to talk to a server admin of a server that kicks you. Go with a private hive server. They usually have their own website set up where you can contact the admins. When you find one that kicks you, note the message you get and contact the admin and ask if he can help you.

    hacked server?

No, it's a virus in your calculator. Reinstall calculator.
  12. UPnP certainly seems more robust than the NAT negotiation from GS and it's a mature standard now, at least when it comes to port forwarding. I have no idea how easy it is to implement in the netcode though.

Why do i keep getting kicked (Derp)

Can you join vanilla OA servers fine?
  14. Hold on now! He hasn't said "no megatransactions" yet! Show me the quote where he says that! This means that underground bunkers will costs thousands of dollars! This is horrible! HOOORIBLE!
  15. Usually you get the motd or their url is in the name. Try the server part here, maybe they're all using the same files.

    Global Ban for no reason

You were either caught hacking or you installed some shady 3rd party software that stole your CD-key. If you want to plead your case, you can see follow these instructions: http://www.battleye.com/support.html

    Single-Player = Global ban?

BE doesn't ban on using "illegal" equipment since it has no idea what "illegal" equipment is to every mod. BE bans if you're trying to circumvent BE or if you're trying to inject something into memory like "hacking" equipment in, on BE enabled server. Obviously SP mod isn't BE enabled so you can do whatever you want there, but if you are running any sort of hacks when joining a BE enabled server you're in trouble. The ban might have gone active while you were offline and you didn't know until you went online again.
  18. The number is just referring to the line in the server config so you have to contact the server admin to find out what it is.

  20. No, this would be for server admins only. Regardless of the solution, the players doesn't have to do anything different than they do today.
  21. Please bear in mind that even if they go for port forwarding, they still might use Gamespy for server-listings, player-lists, etc as I doubt they want to re-invent that wheel again, especially now. That's how you get 3rd party software like Six and Dayz commander. I can't really see what gamespy is missing in that aspect so there isn't a good reason to dump it, at least at this stage.
  22. I assume you have symmetric NAT which means that your VM-instance is the only one using the WAN IP you have. This is also known as 1-to-1 NAT or adressmapping and is used as a security/surveillance function on the management side. You don't need to forward any ports here since all the traffic on that WAN IP is going to only one 10.x.x.x IP. Home users and most non-professional users will use many-to-one NAT in various forms where you have several 10.x.x.x sharing one public WAN IP. The problem arises when a client wants to connect to your server on port 2302. Since noone on the 10.x.x.x asked for this packet, the gateway/router doesn't know which 10.x.x.x IP to forward it to. What NAT negotiation does, at least in Gamespy's case, is to send out a packet with source port 2302 to the client (which it turn got from the gamespy network which it has constantly dialoge with) so when the client connects, the gateway/router thinks that this is traffic that the server requested. The other solution is to port forward 2302 (and probably more ports for VON etc) to your server so whenever the gateway/router recieves a packet on the forwarded ports that noone on the 10.x.x.x network asked for, it will forward to the server. Rocket is asking if the latter is ok, or if the gamespy solution is needed. Port forwarding requires admin access to the gateway/router and some know-how, gamespy doesn't require anything but might not work optimally (not Rockets words, but ours ;)).
  23. First off, upgrade your routers firmware. What most likely is happening is that dayz commander/six is sending UDP packets to all those servers. As UDP is state-less, it works on a timeout timer. Meanwhile the connection and your UDP port is open, and the NAT table is filled up. if the router doesn't limit this, you're likely to see a router-crash. This is happening because the router just keeps adding connections to the NAT-table untill it fills up its appointed memory and then starts overwriting other areas of the memory which other processes is using. A "good" router will limit the number of connections per host, so other PCs can connect to the internet. A medium one will exhaust all it's memory on one host but not crash, while a bad one will crash and reboot. I'm saying "good" here because ideally it should have enough memory. Medium/bad ones can just be a firmware upgrade away from being "good" though. Also, make sure to close any torrent-clients you might be running as they use a lot of connections too. After you've scanned all the servers, wait 3-5 minutes for those connections to timeout. 3 minutes should be more than enough but your milage may wary. You might want to reboot the router before launching Dayz if nothing else helps.
  24. Noone looks at the sticky topics? http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/97180-the-complete-thread-about-serialcd-key-problems/
