Geordie, I agree with you, to a point. But where do we draw the line? The only problem with doing anything and everything is that once you start adding things like that, mobs of players simply want more and more and more controversial additions.(they want something more bloody or more over the top) Look at the suicide idea with the salute animation,cannabilism, or look at even killing animals as another example. I am on board for this, but because everyone can agree that it will add an element of realism or immersion in the game, not to glorify killing children. Either way, I also support doing your own thing and following a vision and not pandering to any sources or buckling under pressure from them. In summation I support this, but I think collectively it might start bringing this community to a place it never needed to go.

why would someone want a dog rolling with them to give away their position? Someones been watching too much I Am Legend. So im dug in to a sniper spot and my young dog decides to do wander around, maybe run, maybe bark, maybe he has to go pee. Is this what we are to look forward to? And tbqh, if i can't skin that useless beast for meat when im hungry, why do we have dogs again?

that..simply wont do....you had a rare experience of some one scripting and rolling with you. generally hackers will have their fun with you (thunderdome) or shoot you from nowhere and instant kill you. That said how about having a shoot on sight policy about everyone...by the time you figure out what happened youll be dead anyways if they hacked. The chances of a hacker befriending you again are low...next time and for the most part, youll never see it coming.

what server number, how many players? Was it regular and nametags on? DId you see who killed you? Do you know there is a section of these forums for submitting threads like these? :facepalm:

again not a GAME man...get it through your head and understand it. it doesn't matter that the mod grew or more servers lit up, its still an APLHA MOD in testing. Stop treating it like a polished finished game and you will cut out about 80% of that whining deadweight attitude.

keep on keeping on indeed. I feel your pain every other day on one of my two toons. Seems like hacking is still rampant. However don't even be mad; you know as well as I they can just spawn some thing better. They did it to grieve you not take your mk48 good luck climbing back to your 2 week old station.

A name would have been nice if you were playing on low pop server, figuring out their handle and submitting server # would help narrow down the search if an admin wanted to check game logs. Then again, the server admin could probably locate when/if they were spawning gear and vehicles. Either way its kind of cool that you actually struggle with the duality of trying to keep cool and being very angry at hackers manipulating your game experience. I advise you not to pity some one like that, they are the cancerous agents that have slowly corrupted our game. but most of all, I am glad it didn't sour you and your g/f on the game and you decide to keep playing. /tiphat

thats odd..every hacked vehicle I have ever gotten into including a hacked heli instantly kills me. I have had death by tractor, truck, and heli because of this.

I play anytime of day I can when there are veteran servers with 20+ population running on 96061. Lately on my 96061 filters the only servers highly populated are running on regular not veteran and that is n00bsauce. Day or not night don't matter to me, its populated servers on veteran

dont weep little willow, check on your fancy camp in a couple server resets. But you can kiss those vehicles goodbye if he blew them up. Also, welcome to Dayz and stop getting attached to your gear

Choppers are only beneficial for travel and even then by the time youve repaired one (generally speaking) you couldve gotten to where you wanted to go using another means in half the time. OIther than the hotel roof and a few other spots not many other places a chopper can reach that you cant get to with another vehicle then climb yourself. (boat excluded) in short although handy to cover some grouond, choppers arent a great advantage over anyone, furthermore, its not like every server you log into there is a clan flying around lighting you up with one. So Im not really sure what advantage you mean

I logged into to a server I play on regularly about twenty minutes ago. There were two people in the lobby... one was named "W" with 189 ping, and the other had no name or initial yet took up a player spot and also had 189 ping. Can anyone explain this?

ok so other people have noticed this too? See i LAN dayz at friends houses so often we log into same servers with exact same ping. But our names arent suspect. Anyways thatnks for the responses now I know other people have experienced this too

like i said check after two resets... I parked a heli on a roof it poofed after reset and then after another reset it came back. I also noticed it happened to the PBX's i saved on three different other servers. Granted the heli is not working like other vehicles, but the PBX sure is imo :thumbsup:

I have every right as a member of this community to interfere. What you are asking for is instant travel up and down the coast whenever you want it. That is not dayz and that is not the way it should be. The horse continues to get beaten; if a section of train is implemented for repair and use that is fine. It potentially adds content and something else to do. But you are not asking for that...you just want automated train travel so its fast and easy for you. Dayz is not supposed to be fast or easy so please stop trying to change this game into some thing that it is not
