So please any help would be great. Side note: Using newest beta and 1.7.1.1 in the recording but I have tried it at 1.7.1.3 and no good.

No sorry. How did you get it working? My friend has the amazon edition as well and he'll probably run into some problems. Use this thread. Specifically the last post on the first page because that's what did it for me. But if that doesn't work for your friend try the other suggestions.

Thank you for everyone that helped. I did finally get it to work and that makes me like the game even more. My friends and I are already together and shooting as many zombies and people we find. Thank you again everyone that helped.

So another update. I have tried combining the files as DoubleD said but it did not work. I have tried running both the games normally and it did not change anything. Darkshine I updated which I needed to do either way but now it still has the error from before but now I can actually join servers but I get kicked for having a 'modified data file'. Again, any help would be appreciated.

It literally just says cannot connect to the server. Update:I just reopened it and it says,"No entry 'bin\config.bin/CfgVehicles/Citizen1.scope'" Again any help would be awesome.

I have followed all the steps in this guide: http://www.dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=2085 and I even have the little @DayZ symbol under the Arma2 symbol in the top left but for some reason I cannot for the life of me join servers. I have tried joining over 20 different servers from a ping of 40 to 2300(thought it might be a bug) and nothing works. I have the amazon version of the game. Also my internet speed pretty good so it can't be that. Any help would be amazing thanks.
