I think panicked players account for more Playerkills than Bandits actually. I was looting the Barn near Msta yesterday when i saw a guy in Ghillie suit running outside. I called out "friendly in the barn, do not enter" - something like that. He ran around the barn, came in from the otherside, saw me - and started shooting with his Makarov. Seems he did not hear me calling. Thats when I started panicking and I shot him twice with my enfield (but did not kill him - there was no corpse in the barn when I came back a few minutes later). I left in a hurry because all those 20+ Zeds chasing him where now chasing me. Panic is the real killer in Day Z....

Doing that right now. I love my Winchester, sitting in barns, killing Zeds as they walk by. I have found that hunting rifle ( CZ 550?) and now I try to get my revenge on some bandits around Cherno and Elektro. btw, where can I find those Chicken, goats, Cows and so on? any common spawn places or just random?

So I am able to play Day Z mostly in the late evenings for 2-3 hours. Thats nearly 6-8 hours ahead of your normal gaming time. If thats a problem, ok. if not, fine!

hmm, I'd rather take a bike as i do not play that often - 1-2 times for a couple of hours a week. The problem is: if I stumble across some good gear (f.e. a AK or M4 with ammo) - I behave like I am god and charge whole towns in broad daylite. Guess what kills me each time :)

Ok, i survived the Coast, got a Shotgun, ammo, hatchet, knife, food and some Pepsi - even a bigger backpack and some bandages/painkillers/morphine. I survived Balota Airfield with its graphical artifacts and now I am in the woods....sitting around.... For real hunting, I need still need some matches - but where do I find cows/goats/chicken and so on to make a fine bbq? Around barns? near towns? in the woods? on open fields? any specific regon where I can find those? What do you other survivors do the whole day? sneaking into towns, looting? killing Zombies? building cars? enjoying the landscape?

That guy also talked to me via VOIP - before shooting me..

Yesterday I spawned around Otmel, went to Kamyshovo to equip. Found a Revolver and an Enfield. As I roamed around town, I spotted another Player, unarmed, that was follwed by a zombie. He went to the harbour, hid there. I shot the Zombie, found the other player sitting in the great hall. He begged for a weapon so I gave him my Revolver. Next thing I remember is being shot with my own weapon. I panic, shooting the guy with my Enfield before getting unconscious. When I get back, the guy still sits right in front of me, trying to shoot me again. 2 more rounds of my Enfield end that treacherous dregs life. I patch myself together and leave for the Woods. Lessons learned: Never trust anyone. Never give someone a Weapon. If I meet someone else, he will be in my crosshair as long as he is in range. Being a Survivor means to suffer from paranoia... :)

Ich werde ab ca. 19:30 in der cherna-Kirche sein, mich ausrüsten und dann in die Wälder gehen. Wäre schön, ein Teammate zu finden :) schick mir ne PM mit TS3-Daten - alternativ kann ich auch einen offenen Channel posten, sobald ich online bin

As I wander around, killing Zombie and getting killed by Bandits, I stumble across many beautifull Backpack: Alice, Czech and so on. But I am still wearing my old, battered Coyote Pouch because I am not able to put on a new backpack. So far I tried: empty the Alice Backpack and my old Coyote Pouch, lay everything in a heap onto the ground, get rid of my coyote Pouch (throwing in to the ground as well) - but still i can just open the Alice Backpack in the gear menu. But I can't put it on. Even leaving the Building and coming back a few minutes later does not help. Once (!) I was was able to put my Coyote Pouch back on - but I was never able to duplicate that process (I was hacking frustrated onto my keyboard at that time). Any Ideas? And to all the Bandits out there: I am juicier with a big Backpack - so help me getting that damn thing! :) greetings, Bearhunter
