Personally, when I hear gunshots that I know aren't directed at me I immediately conceal myself and listen. If they're stupid enough to shoot a gun once in a city, it'll likely happen again. After the second shot you can usually determine what direction they're heading. Couple that with your knowledge of the towns layout, and you can somewhat accurately guess where they're heading (i.e. churches, firehouses, supermarkets). Avoid aggro'ing zombies at all costs. Aggro'd zombies are really really noticeable, and a dead giveaway that you're nearby to whoever you're stalking.

Funny, seeing as how I haven't been in combat on this server since I started playing on it. I haven't been anywhere near a major city, and I haven't come across anyone in the wilderness whilst trekking.

For what it's worth, they banned me from their server just now. Apparently I'm "cheating/hacking". These guys are shady as hell, and possible exploitations aside, I believe their server should be blacklisted simply because they abuse their ban powers to keep threats to their way of life off their server. That's against the spirit of the multiplayer survival aspect of the game.

Does this mean you will be able to create a 5 round DMR mag from a single M24 clip? Or will you still be required to gather 4 M24 clips before combining the into a DMR mag?

I just registered a forum account to report this same exact incident myself. Everything happened rather quickly, but I can confirm everything Ragotag said. I was teleported to a different location (didn't catch the name, but apparently it was "Thunderdome") with every other player on the server. A massive firefight broke out; I did not D/C myself. I ran for cover and was able to survive the initial bloodbath. I waited roughly a minute before going to check out the initial fight area, only to find the hacker was invisible and just lurking there waiting to kill anyone that returned. Edit: Another interesting fact, my information disappeared after being teleported. By that I mean the information that is displayed on the far right that tells you zombie kills/murders/bandits etc. Everything else was intact after being teleported; All items were still on me. Edit2: For what it's worth, my in-game name was Steven.
