  1. I believe most are shoot on sight. Its just the scary nature of the game. Permadeath does things to a gamer lol. For me, I look at it differently. Finding and teaming up with someone is an added challenge upping the difficulty level. I could play some scripted, linear game like Diablo3 where I can buy my gear and finish the game in no time but make our own story here and can play our own rules. :) Then again, a friendly like myself won't be trusted by most. But I enjoy meeting new players from around the world and chatting while we find some beans together. It makes my experience all the better.
  2. Never seen so many team up! Ha. Maybe DayZ will add super zombies one day and everyone will team up? Ah that would be a happy day.
  3. Sux to be him. Pick another server? I tend to move server to server until I find a good one. If something horrible happens I do it again. Been good for ages though. What servers? Can we ask that here? :P GL

    Unfair Unconsciousness

Your unconscious timer will reset if you leave the game and come back. You need to stay online and wait for it to go away. If its 5min, you wait 3 then log out. When you come back it will be 5 again.

    Is this game dying?

Well from the people I know and play with in DayZ, many leave to play other games. Its not that they hate the game or anything, they like it. But being in Alpha it gets annoying after a while. Its more like they just don't play as much rather then play all the time. We are all like that now. We did play the other night but out of the 5 of us, 4 left to play War of Flowers or something (?). I eventually logged out as I was sick of running for ages lol. For me, Iv been playing Orcs Must Die and Diablo3 again (new patch released). And if Im not doing that Im in Photoshop drawing stuff. Not much time for DayZ these days. Many hackers have been banned as well. Once DayZ fixes a lot of issues or even hits standalone or Beta, we would be back in a second.

    Clucking idiots

If you don't like a post please don't reply. Its just feeding the thread. B) My brother and I come across some crazy bugs from time to time. But we understand its a free game and in alpha so yes, the game can and will have bugs to the point of annoying. We don't rage about it although we may complain but its best to just report it and hope the fix is in the next patch. For me, I expect to die at any moment for whatever reason. Its just how it is unfortunately and when things go really bad, my brother and I will log out and play Orks Must Die 2. So I guess having a backup plan works rather well to remove the rage.

    Bandit skin is awesome

Be grateful Im not Rocket. I would make bandits have a big shlong hanging from their forheads. The more kills you got the bigger it got. Just say'n. :P

    Why I kill unarmed players

its just an example, if not a powerful one. Dayz gamers will kill anyone anytime for no reason then to not die and keep their loot (fair enough) but I hear some rather bad examples given why they do it. Just an opinion, nothing harsh.

    Why I kill unarmed players

My 2 cents (some scary people here).... 1. Playing Solo Less risk in dieing Carry less supplies Unable to heal as easy No communication with others Vehicle repair far slower Traveling can be tedious 2. Co-Op Very high risk game-play Can carry more Heal easier Kill easier High stress game-play (chance to get back stabbed) Very high reward game-play Someone to talk too Repair vehicles quicker Can take a long time to meet up with friends Im still a bit of a noob but I far enjoy co-op more then solo. Solo is ok at the start to just run into a city and gear up but slowly starts to become boring. With co-op, I love having a good chat and plan our next move. Yeah, the risks are high but if you have been playing as long as I have (games in general), you find a challenge in a game and you try to beat it. Games are about risk and if you don't take those risks then whats the point? I find it very disappointing that today's gamers will see 'risk' and avoid it to the point of killing new players. Not only that, but they state a "positive" reason for doing it which "makes it ok". Hitler made killing Jews the "right thing to do". Maybe I have a weird way of looking at things? Gamers are gamers and I want to play with them. Its a shame so many these days don't see it that way.

Hackers, and the state of the standalone game?

Rocket made DayZ for the joy of it. Not to make a billion dollars and suck every penny from gamers with the same old repetitive games. Some appreciation is in order, especially since the mod is free. Im sure you had some fun from it otherwise you wouldnt be here. Hackers are indeed an issue but I will keep moving server until I find a good one. It seems to work.
  12. Iv recently noticed the in game message about hackers getting banned. The server I have been playing on last few weeks was getting hacked something horrible however last night with the new messages it was actually issue free (for me anyway). I actually got to gear up really well for the first time. Maybe its luck? I then went to another server with my brother and again, no issues. Hmm. ;) Anyway, no matter the server you can have issues. Both have their negatives and positives.
  13. They can't have new skins apparently. Im a noob still but found that out rather quickly. Now its all male characters from here on. Oh well. You seem to have my luck OP. Well, when a male character anyway :)

Best Hacker of All Time... Scariest Moment Ever.

Great thread. If only hackers could be more imaginative like that they wouldn't be so hated.
