  1. Add blankets and warmer clothes to the spawn list in addition to hot coco and fuzzy bunny slippers. Also, have overheating possibly take place during the day if people are in the sun too long or if they're wearing warm clothes on hot days. Also, for rain, maybe create rain coats that make some noise when rain splatters off of them.

    Build 1.5.8 rolling update

Is the only way to raise our temperature to make a fire... And alert every player in a mile radius? Can't we just get warmer clothes, or blankets dropping? The infection system sounds like it's going to be annoying, and not in a good "OMG, I NEED TO FIND FOOD IN FIVE MINUTES OR IZ GONNA DIE" kind of way. It sounds like players are going to just randomly catch infections at night since no one will be dumb enough to light a fire.

    When to trust people

I can't really bring myself to avoid nonbandit players, usually because I see them first in the dark and let them know so, basically telling them I could blow their ass away if I wanted to. That seems to be an important part of teaming up randomly, letting the person know you had the power to kill them for their beans but didn't. I don't go "DROP YER FUCKING GUN, DUN MOVE" or any of tue crap that a lot of people here do. I just say "Hey, you by that *object*. I see you" and then eventually give them some vauge idea of where I am to extend some trust. It's worked a couple times so far, and it seems to be working. Haven't been betrayed yet, but one of these days that trust is going to come back to bite me in the ass. I just haven't run into any complete dicks yet. Of course, I don't really care about dying in a game where it takes a few bullets to kill and the starting equipment is pretty damn effective and generous, so there's that. I also don't go to high end equipment areas, mostly sticking to rural houses for cheap equipment, so the loss is minimal when I die. Too many people take this game waaaay too seriously.

    MERGED: Night time, darkness, gamma

I haven't ever seen a flare at the grocery or drug store, yet I see a whole section for flashlights in the stores. Also, who doesn't have a flashlight in real life? Just saying, since everyone is using this argument for scoped rifles.

    Cover at long range

Wait a minute, I've been crawling everywhere for nothing? Why isn't freaking grass usable as cover? The only way to avoid snipers is to utilize cover and break line of sight, and we can't even use grass for cover in a game everyone is saying should be über realistic? Are you shitting meh?
  6. I just realized the title says scorped rifle... ... We need Scorpions with Sniper Rifles, or rifles that fire Scorpions.
  7. The second weapon I found in the game was a MK550, or whatever scoped rifle that is. Sniper rifles in every game are just are plain not fun, and I say this who usually gets killed by zombies instead of players because I go prone everywhere and am unlucky. Making scoped weapons a lot more rare would also prevent a lot of random killing from a far away, unseen place just for sport. If anyone wants to bring up realism for how common snipers are in this game, consider that no one would be killing for sport because they'd want to be saving bloody bullets.

A hub for trading, meeting and bearing.

I think having Faction run trade zones would be really interesting, helpful and just plain fun. There wouldn't be any safe zones, so they'd have to watch out for pansy bandit snipers, but having a good amount of players in one area would make attacking anyone inside of it a bad idea. These trade zones could also be marked by signs and fences. Hell, I bet some Factions would even hire guards to keep the peace and maybe charge a small fee for using the trade zone.
  9. Corps, territories and trading are the primary things I think of when I'm reminded of EVE, and DayZ could definitely benefit from them. Having squads fight over territory would be much more interesting than this blatant, solo ganking we have now. Oh, and the pirate potential that could arise from trading... Mmmmmm, that makes me moist.

Keep dying but respawn with my gear

Just wanted to bump this since I had this issue as well.
  11. I'm sceptical as to whether or not having bandits spawn with better weapons is a good idea, but I like everything else suggested.

    Night Time light suggestion

I think just having more fog in general, even sometimes during the day, would put people even more in edge when it was around.

    Something for the woods

You're right. We need zombie cats...
