I love games that take place in big cities, but this wouldn't happen. Make it smaller, maybe 70-90km2 and it would still take a very considerable amount of time.

Large suggestion list to improve DayZ

Many of these are good ideas, but many of them have been suggested before. In the future, don't post "big list of ideas" topics, because it is very difficult to search for and results in people using the same ideas over and over again, because they don't want to look through each "list of ideas" topic. Focus on a few good, original ideas and go much more in depth to them, about how they are needed and how they will positively affect gameplay. People respect these kinds of topics much more than suggestion lists. -

Please don't post topics with names such as "dayz ideas", and don't post a long list of ideas as most of the time 90% of them have already been suggested. Talk in-depth about an original idea and people will respect it. Zombies don't sleep. ZOMBIE: there could be nocturnal zombies that only sleep in daytime but are stronger faster in nighttime. See above. ZOMBIE: there could be packs of zombies that are deadlier faster and roam in the wilderness i know this has been suggested before but i liked the idea so i posted it here (give credit to the original makers of the idea). Agreed, makes perfect sense to me and it's not anything gamebreaking but makes it more playable in that you don't have to run for several hours if you want to get somewhere.

Yes, SOME people do. Your average survivor cannot. And the people that do parkour, don't do it wearing 20+ pound backpacks and rifles. I dare you to try and get a noteworthy jump with that kind of equipment. Because the movie is made for action, and DayZ isn't that same type of action. The movie stretches realism, whereas DayZ doesn't dare. His idea is that you can do parkour-like movements, because people do them in movies, when in reality it is difficult to do and almost impossible in a zombie apocalypse where you are carrying backpacks and rifles. -

So now your argument is about it being a balanced game. Fine, if you want to look at it that way I find that the vest makes it more balanced than you are suggesting. Bandits have the protection of not caring about whether or not they KoS. Just about every bandit kills everyone they see and it offers FAR more protection than any vest does. Heroes get protection from new players straight from CoD who grab the first pistol they find and starting shooting whoever the hell they see. Fair trade in my opinion. -
An idea about combat D/C'ing and logging out.

The problem with that is if I'm in the middle of Cherno and suddenly something comes up real life and I have to get off right then, and I'm not in combat, I want to be able to do that without thinking I'm going to die because some zombie stumbled across my still standing body. -
You serious? I've seen so many threads about how bandits should be punished in various ways, and almost every post on them from survivors is about how playing as a bandit shouldn't be punished.
