Do you feel bad about taking things from other people's tents?

Well, some people are intimidated by the NWAF and might probably stay away due to it being a high value target. -

Without them knowing? The server I play on is mostly active, but when I had got on I was literally the only one on, and I logged in near the NWAF. So I thought might as well hit it up. I get there and check out the barracks, but then I find a bunch tents a few feet away with a butt-ton of supplies. I start to wonder if I should take these, since the weapons in there were so scarce (SAWs and G17s) and the people here probably worked hard to get them. But since this game shows no mercy, I take the weapons and the supplies I need. I leave my previous weapons in there as some kind of compensation and continue scavenging. Do you guys have second thoughts about theft in this game? -
The dumbest/funniest things you've seen in DayZ?

I like how most of this thread is reactions to the stupid people stories and less of the actually stories. OT: This one time there was this guy offering a free ride for anyone in Cherno, but he was on the completely opposite side from where I was. So with much experience from Left 4 Dead, I navigate my way through the city to the escape with a bunch of zombies behind me. I see him refueling at a gas station and I hop in and then we drive off. He starts to tell me about these other group of survivors who were picking up strangers in Cherno also with their helicopter. As we begin contemplating meeting up with them, we hear complaints and screaming from side chat about this one guy who was driving their heli, and then we hear an explosion. The survivors start crying and such, making threats to the driver while you can hear him laughing. So, me and the guy who picked me up abandon the thought of meeting up with them and drove off our own way. TL:DR: This group of people in Cherno were too inviting and it cost them their helicopter. -
I love scavenging and spying on other survivors or joining them if they aren't bandits. Successfully looting a town and getting pretty decent loot while not being detected feels great to me.

I was wondering around in Cheranus and decided to stop and make some steaks in a forest. While cooking, I saw a random town in the distance and started wondering, What if someone took out the zombies and set up camp there? Has anyone else ever thought about this? People could clear out the zombies and put up barbed wire or cars to create a perimeter around the town and maybe put up barbed wire around where zombies may spawn. People could stand guard on the edge town inside cars so zombies can't get them and get out to shoot people trying to loot from the place. I think with enough effort, it could happen! (Maybe I'm thinking too hard on the game or been watching too much Walking Dead)

Skype: matthewbiologist Steam: GunzerkerPenguin [CP] Age: 14 Info: I usually play on the weekends in the morning and at random times. I've been playing for about 2 months and I just about know the ropes. My supplies allow me to take care of myself, and maybe others. Been hoping to find some friendly faces in this apocalypse. Hope to see ya soon. -
I'm sorry if this is kind of late, but I've been wondering where is my debug menu? Has anyone else had this problem? It's kind of annoying, not knowing how much humanity you have, not knowing exactly how much blood I have, and not know my zombie kill count. Was the menu removed entirely form the game?

I'd like to help your cause, I'll send you my app :)

I once saw a survivor just running through zombies without bleeding. Maybe he was hacking or just really lucky

Howdy, name is Matthew. I like long walks on the beach and killing zombies on said beach.

Do people rather go by themselves than team up?
robotpenguin posted a topic in New Player Discussion
I'm a newbie to Day Z,(that's right bandits, just for you!) and I only interacted with 3 survivors through my survivial. The first time I was drifting by and I see this poor guy running from 3 zombies, I saw he had a rifle and a pistol, but he was running. So, I thought he was out of ammo, and with hatchet in hand, I take his pursuers and chop em up. He runs up to me, supposedly relieved and just types, "ty" and then just books it out of there. I was surprised since he didn't ask for ammo, supplies, or even to team up to increase his chances of surviving, but I just brushed it off and went on my merry way. Same server, like half an hour later I find myself in a barn, hoping to look for some supplies, and then suddenly I hear zombie growls and some gunshots. I heard gunshots beforehand, but I thought it was some poor sap getting sniped by scumbag bandits, but then it turns out to be the same guys. We 3 had mics, I hear them calling my character name "Maaattheww" I sit in the upper corner of the barn, holding my axe for dear life, but I act indifferent for them to not show weakness and say, "If you're gonna kill me, make it fast." But to my surprise, they say "No we're shooting the zombies chasing us" and they kill them. Still cowering in my corner, I ask them want they want, they ask for some painkillers. Like the good Samaritan I am, I give them the one I spawned with. They give their thanks, and just wish me luck. I was thinking they could use some extra help and I offer my help, but they politely decline me and leave. I just thought 3 men of the apocalypse could do some damage, but they thought an army of two was enough for them, and I respect that and that left me wondering, do you guys rather be lone wolves instead of banding together? Sorry if this makes me look egotistic in any way.
