Do regular arma II servers even exist anymore?

Do they? I tried to find one but it's mostly other mods that you need to register for, i'm confused. I'd like to see what the game DayZ is build on is like online, but having a hard time finding a server. Any vanilla arma players out there? -

Currently the only way to tell is via how much damage they can take. I think they also look a little bit more bloody/unkempt - but a more pronounced difference is needed. How about we take the shirts off the viral zeds? If there that more dangerous... they should look different. -
I found a boat about 20 ft out into the water. Every time i try to refuel it, it goes through the animation, but doesn't refuel the boat. My jerry can becomes empty but no fuel in the boat :( Any ideas on how to get this thing running?

Thanks grumpy, i followed your advice and did get a noticable improvement. One question though if i may. 1. I have a 3.6ghz cpu and a 1.5gb gpu (I think). What option setup would i want to take? (Meaning CPU or GPU based) And yes i know my computer sucks. Haha. -

I've had this happen to me before, the orange colored small bushes. Snuck up on a kitted out sniper who had a zombie on him. He crouched into a bush (To stop the zed from attacking) and just sat there waiting for it to go away. I walked right up to him, dumped a makorov clip into the back of his head, nothing. Then i stole all the stuff from his backpack. Walked up into the bush thinking he was a hacker or bugged out or something... he just turned shot me and insta-killed me with his DMR.

Great idea that i hope is added to the game. Infact i hope its complicated and based on real life. Medics will have a new way to play and bandits will have something to abuse (Liquid adrenaline for combat?). -
US 8546 - Admin banning people @ whim (Need community help)

Public server, admin's banning people she doesn't like. Anything i can do about it? The admin (Apparantly a woman named Lucy) runs her server with a No PVP rule. She enforces it vigorously by admin banning anyone who engages in PVP AND she seems to kick anyone she doesn't like. Edit: Unfortunately i wasn't able to screenshot the conversation but the jist is the admin and her friend were talking about fixing a helicopter. I asked for a ride (She said "no) and then asked if i could help fix it (She said "no, i want you nowhere near me). I then said something to the effect of "Well fuck you too buddy :)". She demanded an apology, and a few more profanities later i got kicked. No breaking of her "Official" rules, no exploiting, just kicked because she did not like me. Now on a private server i understand this. But on a public hive, where you can transfer items/etc admin abuse like this needs to be stamped out. Please do something about this server. Infact - Everyone reading this go log into her server (You have to revert back to 1.7.6 first, she runs that for extra loot spawns) and go cuss her out. Watch yourself get banned. Screenshot it and post it here. -

Just got banned from this server because the admin didn't like my attitude. Didn't engage in PVP either. Someone needs to do something to prevent admin abuse like this. -

Yes it will. Salt stings like hell and kills some of the surface tissue, but it drys the wound out and helps to disinfect it. -

Nothing happening after putting 7 rounds from an M1911 is a bit of exaggeration. Thats at least 7000-8000 blood - The equiv of a DMR shot. Think of it this way - Currently all player models are wearing a tactical vest of some kind. That would be able to stop a 9mil (The hero vest will absorb it entirely) or (Maybe) a 45. If you hit the leg the leg breaks in game already - if you hit the head they die. Due to the limitations of the engine we can't have broken arms. I think this falls under the "Authenticity, not realism" category. -

A while ago someone mentioned a glitch. A glitch where you could equip a crowbar and a primary weapon at the same time - And switch between the two by pressing F, much like you'd switch to a flare or throw item. I tried this "glitch" out only to find that it didn't work - i guess it was patched since i saw that guy's post, but it sounds like a great idea. Give us a quick-switching melee weapon. Something that doesn't require us to drop our gun (or put it in backpack) and take our hatchet/crowbar/machete/whatever off our toolbelt. Being able to switch to a silent, powerful melee weapon like a hatchet at the drop of a hat would be a great addition to the game. Besides the obvious benefits to PVP and PVE this would bring (One more thing to think about) - Wouldn't it just be cool? Have your rugged survivor with a crowbar chained to his belt, sling his rifle over his shoulder and start beating back the hordes? Or your craft bandit pull out his machete to finish off a victim his just shot to save ammo? i think it would be a great addition to the mod (And if you can't do it with the mod, put it in SA!)

I keep getting this when i try to join one of my favorite servers - "You were kicked off the game. (BattlEye: SetPos Restriction #0)" It's only on this particular server... Everything else i'm able to join just fine. Any ideas?

You would have a point if this wasn't an unstable mod where a weapon may very well disappear upon dropping it or placing it in a backpack. Also - Casuals? Please. -

Honestly i'd be happy with this too. If we can't have a 3rd slot for melee weapons we should at least be able to put them in our pistol holster, right? Can't you fit a hatchet in a gun holster?
