Sounds like someone blocked off the barracks to be a troll/stash weapons there. He probably gets into the server on another server then hops over to the one you are on. The barbed wire just keeps everyone else out. As for the debug forest spawn? It's just a glitch, relog.

Epi-pen might fixit. Are you still in-game?

Hello all, I've noticed many people have suffered from this bug and respawned on the coast with all their gear (or even worse, completely naked). I figured i'd make a thread explaining what (i'm pretty sure) the problem is and how to avoid it. Basically from what i've gathered spawning on the coast is caused by alt+f4'ing or otherwise closing the game during the loading screen. If you close the game during the loading screen is corrupts your location and makes the game think your in the debug plains, which then makes you re-spawn on the coast. While closing the game during loading is sometimes un-avoidable (stuck on loading etc) there is a way to prevent spawning on the coast. What you need to do is open another instance of DayZ and let THAT load up succesfully, THEN close the other window where your stuck on loading. Dayz commander is extremely useful for TL;DR: Do not close the game during loading. Open the game again and let it load up in another window, THEN close the window where your stuck @ loading.

Ello, I was playing "Apocalypse cop" and camping on the hill in Elecktro with my M107, when i see a guy in a Ghuillie suit with a massive rifle start to cross the open field. It was a weird looking gun. It looked like a 50cal, but it had something resembling a camera ontop of it. So i figured "Ok, he's fairgame" punched in the range, fired two shots, and missed horribly because i almost never snipe. He immediatly turns around, spots me, and returns fire. I GTFO and live (somehow), stopped running halfway to Pusta and logged off. Almost got one. Almost.

So I got bored and decided to plow into Cherno heavily armed on a high pop server, I bump into a fresh spawn on the way in into Cherno's east side. He say's that he's just died and that it's his first day playing the game. I ask him if he want's to join me, he says yes, and i give him my pistol. So the new spawn and i head into Cherno, make a quick stop at the hospital so i can fill up on medical supplies, and begin to make our way over towards the church. We get about halfway and stop at one of the bar/apartment buildings. I hear gunshots. Sounds like an AKM, but i don't have a good angle from the windows to see if there's any aggro'd zombies. It's closeby. The Fresh spawn is of course clueless, he hasn't even heard the gunshots. I ask "Did you hear that?" "Hear what?., how to i pick up two pistols?" About 10 seconds later i hear the shots again, and someone dies. "Crosby has died" The new spawn says "hey my friend just got killed" "Did you hear those gunshots?" "Oh yeah i hear it now" "Who killed your friend" "He doesn't know" "I mean what gun was the guy using" "He doesn't know" "Did it look like an AK?" "Oh yeah he said it looked like an AK" So we sneak out the back and i spot the bastard on the far end of the docks near the crane/concrete building. I say "I see him!" and take a few potshots. He ducks behind a building and i lose sight of him, i say "FOLLOW" and run around to flank him. Were about 2 blocks away. I run across the street, round the corner and see the bandit bandaging in a corner. I fire a few more shots and he goes down. "Got the bastard" The new guy catches up to see me in my Hero skin standing over the bandit bastard that killed his friend. I tell him to take the bandit's gun and equipment. I want a musket, damnit! A musket with a bayonet. The bayonet will be the most useful part (like a step above the hatchet), you use the mouse wheel to switch from the musket to the musket's bayonet. You use paper cartridges, just like regular ammo. Find em in barns like other weapons. Takes like 10 seconds to reload, but does a massive amount of damage (A Minie' ball can take a leg off pretty easily). Also, in standalone, there will hopefully be bullet penetration. By that i mean you could stack up the zombies, and knock 5-6 of them down with one shot. Lower caliber assault rifles (e.i. the m16's 5.56x45mm) will have a hard time doing this. The Bayonet will do 9500 blood damage if it hits the center chest, lower if it hits elsewhere, but no lower than 5000 blood. (e.i. - Better than the hatchet) Discuss.

Plus Minie' balls are hollow point (well not really, but same effect) and i'm assume most military rounds are armor-piercing. If nothing else a massive, self-expanding bullet blowing away a zed would be fun to watch. You can kill an infected with tin cans. A tin can is neither accurate nor does it have a high rate of fire.

So are bolt-action rifles and crowbars but you can still use em.

Especially with standalone supposedly having 200 player servers. Would make for some awesome clan events and youtube videos.
